"Great stay, if you want to stay north of Nairobi. Place has a unique colonial character, service is more reflective of times gone by. Food was great and well priced. Property is geared towards big events hosting so felt empty on many days and then suddenly full. Overall enjoyed it as a great sleeping pad for our north of Nairobi trips like hells gate national park, ziplining and ol pejete trips. Grounds were pretty, so you can enjoy a day or two in the property itself."

stay at Hemmingways after a 2 week safari. The property is beautiful and the grounds are spacious. All of the rooms are large and have balconies. Our only complaint was that the the air conditioning did not work in our room. They told us (for most of the day) that they were fixing it and just before we went to dinner offered us a fan. We asked them to move us, which they did, at 9 pm to a smaller room but cool!! Given the price of the room (almost $700), they should have...
