"Stunningly beautiful setting. Traumatic boat trip out to resort. Engine fire. Host pushed passed guests who were left to fight the fire with the boat driver. Used out hats to scoop water from the lake to put out foot high flames. Management at resort once we eventually arrived were non plussed. No acknowledgement of our ordeal other then and apology. Not even a complimentary beer! Cut short at start and at end due to the boat fire. Such a shame because it's a beautiful location. Needs money spending on repairs to walkways and steps into the water as dangerous too. Book with Cate as it's pretty pricey. A day trip or at the most 1 night stay is the maximum I'd recommend booking. Such a shame. "

"Great if youd like to emmerse yourself in the depths of the jungle. We seen plenty of wildlife in its natural habitat. We had a snake visit our treehouse on the first night which for us was a memorable experience as it did its own thing and didnt bother us. This being said we were well prepared mentally for any cute critters to come into the room because we did the research and knew what we were up for. Only minor downside would have been the bug net was too thick so we couldnt catch the breeze of the fan but again we knew what we were signing up for. Overall an experience we will never forget! "

"We were very impressed with the hotel and the food offerings are exceptional. We stayed for 5 nights and purchased half board. The evening buffet was truly amazing with a very extensive range of food much of it being prepared individually for you. Situated on a beautiful stretch of beach and an amazing pool. Fabulous!!"

"We had a wonderful stay here! The pictures don’t do the hotel justice. It’s outside of Khao Lak centre which was perfect for us - easy to reach lots of amazing sights and local restaurants by taxi. The family rooms are huge and beautifully appointed with separate spaces for kids’ bunk beds and big balconies. The service was wonderful - especially in the main restaurant, at Rosalyn Spa and the lovely kids club. The pools are the highlight though. They wind their way through the hotel, inc. kids pools, slides and splash pads. "

"Boutique oasis virtually hidden from the beach and road yet with gardens true to the tropics. Some of the rooms are showing their age but, for us at least, it is a small price to pay to stay in a price of heaven. Pleased to see them adhere to ‘adults only’ The beach is 5km of white sand often with less than a dozen people on it. Fantastic food can had in the hotel and along the beach. As a repeat visitor I’m delighted to see stylish new parasols and smart beds. The WiFi infrastructure has been improved tremendously too. With true gigabit WiFi available within a twenty minute stroll (Ma Ma Lak) the in-house will certainly deliver on most of your needs. Despite staying at other places in the region we were again pleased to have stayed at Bangsak Village Hotel "
