The beaches of #Khaolak are virtually unknown among visitors to #Thailand 🇹🇭, despite them being right next to Phuket. The area around the old Natai Pier gets a little busy around #sunset, but it’s almost always only locals. It’s a beautiful area and well worth checking out for a quiet #beach escape.

If you don't have a lot of luggage and don't mind walking, I suggest you walk from the airport. There is a 7-11 and a few restaurants around, but not much. The area is quiet, except for the planes. "I had the room at the front of the building. The room was spacious, with two huge windows, so plenty of light. The view is good at eye level and above. It was well decorated and pleasant. On the down side, it overlooks the main road so is rather noisy. During the day, it's a continuous drone, so it fades into the background. At night, earplugs! These are kindly provided. Be aware, the other rooms face onto a wall."
