"We had an amazing stay at Bakubung Bush Lodge. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. The lodge itself was very clean, well maintained and had such a great atmosphere throughout. The safari experience was absolutely unforgettable — seeing the animals up close in such beautiful surroundings was a real highlight. The whole place has an amazing vibe, perfect for families or anyone wanting a relaxing bush getaway. We would definitely come back again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Sun City/Pilanesberg area."

"Lovely lodge but the rooms are a bit tired and the housekeeping team could do with improving the amenities in the rooms as well as the turn down service which is currently messy and inconsistent. The main lodge staff, including servers, front desk, and chefs were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Food was always fresh and delicious. Changing high tea to a lunch would be a good move in my opinion. Highlight of the trip was the Guide Cameron who went out of his way to give everyone on his vehicle an excellent and memorable safari experience. His sense of humour, knowledge, care for his guests was above and beyond expectation. He also had an obvious passion for the location and lodge. Overall a great experience - including the Elephants drinking out the pool!"

"The Cabanas hotel is great for families or if you want to stay at Sun City on a budget. The rooms have great showers and being in the ground floor you e got use of sunbeds. Out look fantastic in block 23, must say rooms spotless, staff great but it’s in need of a bit of TLC. The breakfast buffet plentiful but weekends are busy and can be noisy. The walks, the amenities and swimming pools fab, so much to do and see. Crazy golf and water world all extra. Lost city and wave world awesome. Evening walk around the golf course stunning specially with the visiting animals. One thing though if you want to do a safari send an enquiry don’t wait till you’re there. Also be aware if you arrange a taxi you’re best to ask the hotel to let the front gate know otherwise outside companies find it difficult to gain entrance. We’ve had a great few days sad to leave but would have preferred more of a hotel style holiday than the apartment style. We had a lovely meal at the Gary player clubhouse recommend trying the hole-in-one cocktail Sun City a fabulous location, great for all ages. So much to do and enjoy for all ages with a range of accommodation. Its approximately 2.45 hours drive from Johannesburg airport"

Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge

"The lodge was perfect just what we needed for a few days and our first ever safari. The food had great choice at breakfast and dinner didn’t use it at lunchtime but their menu looked fab. The safari drives we were warned you just never know but it was amazing the drivers worked so hard to get us to see as much as possible. We saw elephant close, lions, zebra, giraffe, jackal,rhinos, hippos and the jewel in the crown a leopard. "

"Everything was very good. the staff were attentive and catered for your every need. The hotel has a good selection of restaurants and of course there is the casino. There is also a nice pool with a bar and a food oulet. The only gripe I did have was that the hot water was seldem more than tepid. I reported this on occassions but to no avail. A short walk away is a shopping mall with more eateries and shopping."

The customer service exceeded all expectations every team member I encountered was friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring I felt welcome and well cared for throughout my visit. The breakfast was exceptionally delicious, the buffet setup and layout was fantastic The meal was breathtakingly delicious. The room was immaculate, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed with everything needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It’s evident that the hotel maintains high standards of cleanliness and guest comfort. What truly set this experience apart was the remarkable staff. From the front desk to housekeeping, every individual demonstrated professionalism, warmth, and a genuine passion for hospitality. Their attentiveness and kindness elevated my stay and left a lasting impression. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a seamless, enjoyable experience with exceptional service. I look forward to returning on my next visit. "
