Welcome to Southern Palms, the ultimate home base for your Key West adventure! Perfect for couples, friends, or large groups, this versatile property is made up of three separate units, Coconut Palm, Traveler's Palm, and Royal Palm.



With its own private pool, hot tub, BBQ grill, five bedrooms, and four bathrooms, Southern Palms is your tropical oasis. The lush backyard is perfect for relaxing between excursions, while its prime location on Whitehead Street puts you just steps from the excitement of Duval Street.



From world-class bars and restaurants to Key West’s iconic attractions, everything you want to explore is right at your doorstep. Southern Palms offers exceptional value, comfort, and convenience for those who prioritize adventure and unforgettable experiences in paradise!



The Space:

The whole property allows for a maximum occupancy of 16, the bed layout is as follows:

Coconut Palm:

Bedroom 1: Queen

Bedroom 2: Queen with attached living area & queen pullout couch

Bedroom 3: King with en suite bathroom



Traveler's Palm:

Studio: 2 Kings & a queen pullout couch in the living room



Royal Palm:

Studio: King Bed



Coconut Palm has three bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spacious backyard with a BBQ grill. The bedrooms include 1 king, 2 queens, and a pullout couch attached to the king bedroom, sleeping up to 8 guests.



Traveler's Palm is a separate studio located upstairs from Coconut Palm. It has its own private entrance, a large balcony with a hammock and a kitchenette. This unit includes 2 king size beds and a pullout couch, sleeping up to 6 guests.



Royal Palm is located on the other side of the backyard. It is a cozy studio with its own patio, kitchenette and hot tub. This unit features a king size bed sleeping 2 guests.



Guest Access:

Our contactless check-in procedure makes check-in easy. Guests will receive a personalized access code prior to check-in to enter the unit.



The Neighborhood:

Located on Whitehead St which is 1 block from world famous Duval St, "Southern Palms" is walking distance to nearly everything you will want to experience during your escape to Key West. Walk to popular spots like The Southernmost Point, Key West Lighthouse, Blue Heaven, Firefly, Green Parrot and the Ernest Hemingway Home which are all just right down the street. Want to hit the beach? Head down to Ft Zach State Park & Beach and enjoy the crystal clear waters and beautiful quiet beaches for a small admission fee.



Getting Around:

Parking Information: If you reserve all three units in Southern Palms (including: Coconut Palm, Travelers Palm & Royal Palm), there is space for two compact cars in the gated driveway. Please note, you may need to tuck in your side mirrors to enter the driveway.



There are a variety of great ways to explore Key West including by bicycle, pedi-cab, Moke, scooter, golf cart, Uber, Taxi, or by feet. As this unit is located in downtown Key West, many attractions are within walking distance. Feel free to ask us for recommendations!



Other Things to Note:

- There are 2 washer/dryers on site: one located just off of the back deck and one in the driveway.

- Pets are welcome! Our requirements are as follows:

•40lb maximum per pet

•$250/per stay

•2 pet maximum

- If you are within 90 days of your check in date: you can reserve the compound properties individually (Coconut Palm, Travelers Palm & Royal Palm)

Everything was great and right in the middle of the action. The property is actually 3 separate units but worked great for our group. Small hiccup with the codes not working but was fixed shortly after. AC and water pressure worked great. Would recommend!

June trip with the guys

We stayed with 12 of our buddies for a bachelor party. The amenities are nice, enjoyed the pool and spa and the outdoor showers are great. It’s in a convenient location for walking everywhere on Duval. The room layout was nice so most the guys had their privacy and the upstairs balcony with hammock under the large shady tree was awesome. The parking is pretty small and tight but that’s to be expected in Key West. We would stay there again.

Good location

As a VRBO owner myself, I feel it is important to honestly communicate what your property is and is not so potential renters can determine if your property is right for them. Before booking this property please be aware that there is only parking for a very small car. The closest public parking is $50 a day. We were not aware and not informed even though we told them what type of cars we were bringing this when we booked. The house itself was clean and linens were provided. The kitchen was well stocked with needed cooking utensils. The TV only is able to pick up one channel, AMC, and the HDMI connector is not working. So you will be able to cast or connect a personal device to use your own apps. We arrived to find molded towels and wash cloths in the washing machine along with a layer of dirt. The property manager was always quick to respond and removed all but one of the dirty wash clothes. However, the dirt from the washer would not wash out even with running a cycle of hot water. Thus, it was not useable. This property is in a great location. It is within walking distance of many of the Key West highlights and wonderful restaurants.

Pricy without the punch

The location is perfect. That's about it. The property needs upgrades, cleaning and repairs - not as pictured. The Royal Palm was ok. Shower door leaks on the floor, which might be the reason I had a cockroach in my bathroom. Outdoor patio furniture needs replacing. Hot tub was cloudy and musty. Grounds were not kept. Garbage had not been taken out from prior renter and stunk the whole stay. The A/C in the main house smelled like mold. The back splash to the counter isn't even attached to the wall. Both clothes dryers don't work and one is all rigged up which looks like a fire hazard. Each bathroom had 1.5 rolls of toilet paper. We had to purchase more. There were no garbage bags for us to change. The whole place just needs a thorough cleaning, updating and repair. All the showers leaked. There are holes in the wall. It is NOT what it looks like in the pictures. We were told there was a door to separate the ouch area inside, and there was not. We were locked out 20 minutes before our checkout time, and our luggage was still inside. For $4xxx.00 PER NIGHT - my expectations were much, much higher. I would never rent from this company again.

Great for large groups looking for a good time!

The property was just a block or two away from bars and restaurants on Duval St., perfect for our bachelor party group of 10. The compound itself has certainly seen alot of use, but was clean and perfect for a group looking to spend most of their time at the bars and restaurants of Key West. My only major concern was how late check-in was (4:00pm) and how early check-out was (10:00am). For the rental price of this property, I would have expected more flexibility from the property manager to get more time out of the rental.
