"Great location. We could walk to shopping and restaurants. Small but very comfortable room. Loved the ample continental breakfast and the wine and cheese offering every afternoon. We enjoyed sitting on the porches with our morning coffee. Would definitely stay here again. loved it !!"

"What a fun little find! Lovely spacious inn deep in the heart of Charlottesville wine country. Close to a number of wineries and to Charlottesville. The suite had a comfortable sitting room and a spacious bedroom. Don't miss dinner at the inn as it's amazing. Breakfast the next morning was better than any hotel breakfast I've had in years--the French toast will haunt my dreams. Definitely will be back. "

"We enjoyed our short, 1 night stay at the Dinsmore. Great location, a short walk, close to restaurants and the University. Hotel is a historic building but well maintained, clean and modern. Great service, made us feel very warm and comfortable. A terrific restaurant and breakfast, we recommend it highly."

"We just enjoyed the best two nights here! We loved learning about the history of the Inn and the place is so well preserved. The innkeeper and chef were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was so delicious both mornings. The location was great as well. Almost everywhere we wanted to go regardless of the direction was 15-20 minutes away. There was an amazing pizza place right around the corner that we would definitely suggest going to. We highly recommend this inn and will surely be...

"Quaint location in the middle of nowhere. We weren't in town for the sites but if you like living on a farm it's sweet. Parking was all dirt and made things very muddy during the rain. Owner/proprietor was nice and friendly "

"Huge well appointed room. Incredible breakfast. Host was very accommodating to guest needs, as many of us had to be up early for UVA graduation. She made to-go breakfasts for everyone with fresh muffins, yogurt, fresh cut fruit. Lovely overall experience. Nice not to be in the center of town near Grounds. Very easy access when you do."

"Desiree and Stephan are quite the hosts! They catered to all our needs and anticipated them. We were welcome with a delicious wine tasting and charcuterie board. The house is beautifully decorated and the grounds delightful. Breakfasts were a treat as Stephan has a background as a chef. Of note, Stephan is quite entertaining and his stories could easily be a standup comedy show! We will definitely be back!"

"Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi."
