"This is an older elegant hotel, but it is well maintained while keeping that old world charm.
I booked a river-facing room and was really happy with my balcony. There is not much directly across the river from the hotel, but it was still really nice sitting out there and watching the sunsets. The room was small, but comparable to other European hotels I stayed in. It was clean, including the bathroom.
The restaurants on-premise looked busy, but I did not eat there, nor did I have the breakfast.
I arrived in Boppard without any firm plans, so the front desk was helpful with ideas.
There is a boat directly outside of the hotel, but I did not book a river cruise (I don't think it was running every day because of low water levels on the Rhine).
The walk to/from the train station is pretty straightforward. It is a little uphill from the hotel to the station, but nothing extreme.
I would stay here again if visiting Boppard."
