This was a once in a lifetime stay. The property is immaculate - spacious, but very few rooms, so it feels like you're all alone in paradise. Best of all, however, is the staff. Top notch service from start to finish. Highly, highly recommended. We very much look forward to returning.

Amazing hotel, staff and comforts. No beach.

Pros - beautiful gardens, lush vegetation, tropical big leaf and tall trees, Instagram perfect - rooms are big, comfortable, silent, outdoor showers have powerful water pressure, and villas are spread far apart. Amazing. - no mosquitos (sealed doors before dinners, net over the bed) - outstanding staff, attentive, friendly, good English, good recommendations. Kudos to the GM Jonathan, also super friendly and present, a well run establishment! - massive swimming pool, smartly designed, deep where needed and shallow in places, ideal for lazying in it on hot days - restaurant has good selection of food, specials and healthy options, great service staff Cons - beach. Tiny, dirty (plastics from the sea) and murky dark waters. Not usable at ALL. - else, I'm struggling to find any other negatives! Date of stay: April 2025, Villa D3 There's no good or bad villa - all the same. Get a motorbike and go to Kep, crab market, La Plantation pepper farm - go hiking.

Beautiful resort, great food, and it’s delightful to be right on the beach. Unfortunately the room isn’t designed well. The bathroom looks beautiful, but using the tub wasn’t possible due to mosquitoes. Further, the door between the toilet and tub is a glass shower door, so the exterior door and its tall threshold is between the toilet and the bed, so anyone who needs the toilet in the middle of the night has to fumble with the key and chain and risk tripping over the threshold. There is also a pendant light hanging low over the outlet for the hairdryer so that even average height people will bump into it while drying their hair. This is not the experience I expect at this price point, and it should have been easy enough to avoid: screen in the outdoor bathroom, install the exterior door and its tall threshold on the exterior, and raise the pendant light. The staff could also use more training. It was repeatedly pointed out that we were only staying one night. Of course it’s good to confirm this once at check in, but beyond that unsolicited comments on travel plans feel awkward. There was also a situation at breakfast where the staff seated us, then inquired about our room number, then pointed out that they had reserved a different table for us. Again, awkward! If tables are reserved for certain rooms, staff should confirm guests’ room numbers before seating them. If a mistake was made, why make that the guests’ problem? Lots of potential; just needs a few improvements.

個人的にはがっかりです。

普通のホテルでした。4星にがっかり。まず、4ＲＯＯＭ中2ＲＯＯＭでシャワーのお湯が出ない。歯ブラシが無いのでお願いしたら次の日の朝にバルコニーに置いてあった。 施設の改装中でしたのでうるさかった。ホテルへの飲み物持ち込みが制限された。朝食の種類が少ない。全体的には対応が遅いのでのんびりと待てばよいと思います。

Beautiful location

Fantastic location for a hotel which provides an intimate setting. Pool was like a bath and the gardens were immaculate. Beach however was a very loose description of the location and the bathroom facilities are not quite as nice as depicted on the website. Staff were very helpful and nothing was too difficult.

Great Rooms!

Very nice rooms which are small separate bungalows. Nice place to relax and chill out, there is a nice pool and a small beach, however the sea is not so clean in this area. Lovely grounds, service was ok. Restaurant there is not great, very average and for Cambodia not great value for money. But the rooms are really great! (wifi didn't work most of the stay) There is nothing interesting close by.

Un paradis sur terre

L'établissement est merveilleusement calme , le cadre est vraiment idyllique . Une merveilleuse Piscine à miroir donnant sur Phu quoc , de grande villa avec douche et baignoire extérieur de très bon goût 12 au maximum de la décoration et des meubles originaux ,un personnel très prévenant un personnel très prévenant. L'engagement écologique est présent , le propriétaire à préservé la jolie mangrove il est possible de se promener sur cette dernière grâce un ponton en bois le village est à quelques kilomètres.c'est avec beaucoup de regret que l'on quitte cet endroit de rêve.

Absolutely the best place to stay in Kep!!

This was our second stay in 2015 at the Samanea Beach Resort. And once again we were not dissapointed. This stay was for six days in December 2015, and what a time we had!! The Samanea is by far the best choice in Kep, also compared to the fancy more downtown place. Here you get our own individual house in a lush tropical garden. Our house was again VERY comfortable. Huge king bed, sofa arrangement, dresser, wardrobe and in general a very spacious living. All amenities from a 4-5 star hotel. The bath room is almost the best part. It's situated en suite but outdoors in your own totally private yard. Very nice, romantic and comfortable. Restaurant, pool area, private beach, private pier - hey just look at the hotels.com pictures. it is just a WONDERFUL place. The staff is great. Especially the guys working in the restaurant are just fantastic! thanks a lot guys!!!!

Just alright

We stayed here just one night. The room was spacious and clean but nothing extraordinary. The gardens were well manicured. Staff was very attentive. The WiFi was very slow, breakfast was mediocre, and the "beach" is actually a patch of mangrove that was cleared away to make space for a sandy platform on concrete pylons.

Best Value for Money Resort in Cambodia!

Absolutely thrilled with our experience, so much we decided to get married at Samanea. The resort is lovely, the staff are well trained, courteous and go above and beyond. The accommodations are absolutely divine. The outdoor shower was a really unique experience. Everything was just perfect!
