"This is a very nice hotel but they are under going room remodel. The hotel seemed fairly full so I assume that is why I was placed on a floor where all the rooms next to me were being worked on. There was construction trash in the hallway - some over night- and you could smell paint. There were quite a few workman in the hallway when I checked into my room. Work did end at 5 Pm and did not resume until 8 AM and the noise level was not bad. Breakfast was good and had a decent variety. there is a good burger joint across the parking lot. I appreciated that they were dog friendly and there was some area to walk my dog."

"We loved our stay here. It was clean, cozy and relaxing. I have to say that initially we were expecting the house to be right *on* the river. The cabin/house is across the street from the side that is on the river- and so to access it you will walk about 10 minutes to a spot where you can access it. If anything- it meant that the backyard, where you can sit and have a fire, is more private. There are tall shrubs and trees flanking the backyard, and so it doesn't feel exposed to the neighbors. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of extra pillows, and the heating and air conditioning was well done- we were comfortable the whole time. There isn't a stereo but you can Airplay to the TV easily. The Wifi is good, The town itself doesn't have a lot going on, but that was ok by us. We visited a couple nearby towns, saw the overlook and the Freedom Falls, the dogs had a good time walking in the creeks and river, and the Kennerdell Tract of Clear Creek State Forest right across the river - a very very short drive or walk across the bridge. It was so quiet and we had it all to ourselves, so we were able to let our dogs off leash safely. I would say, bring your own kitchen knives if you plan to cook. We appreciated the ease of the K-cup machine and plenty of pods that got us through our whole stay - it just made it easier. Overall I feel like this is a well-loved place, a good value, and an ideal place if you just need to get away and spend some time in nature unwinding."
