"This is one of the nicest and best places to stay in Brighton. I had a very nice quiet room on the 4th floor, had everything you would need, including an iron, tea and coffee making, tv, nice shower and comfy bed. Good breakfasts too. Room was cleaned every single day to a high standard. And the staff are just wonderful - they are what makes the hotel special."

"Nice family room. Comfy bed and great shower. Tasty breakfast. Quiet and peaceful room despite a close proximity to town and sea front, so great location. The family room given to us below level ground level, so no external view at all and very hot. The small aircon machine stopped working so felt quite claustrophobic. We would stay here again but ask for a different room."

"Great sea view from the room and a smooth, hassle-free check-in with clear instructions. The room and bathroom were clean and communication was easy via chat or phone. The only downside was the shower drain which was slow and could use some maintenance. Overall, a good budget-friendly hotel for families and friends."

Drakes of Brighton

"We love coming here to Drakes Hotel. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms are lovely (some even with spacious bathtubs too) and the breakfasts are always delicious (and can be served in room which is always a bonus for us since we’re not morning people haha) Great amenities nearby and easy to get a bus (the stops are right outside) or an uber etc. It’s a must for us whenever we’re in Brighton."

"The room, bathroom, and bedding were all very clean and well maintained. The overall cleanliness of the accommodation was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful during check-in. The only downside was that the seagulls were quite noisy during the night, which made it a little difficult to sleep. However, this was not the accommodation’s fault. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend it."
