I hesitate to review, because I’m afraid she’ll get so popular that we won’t be able to book again. This gem is quiet, clean, private- it’s an oasis. I hope that we get to return soon!"

"Located 6 mins from Volcano NP entrance (and 9 mins to a great hiking trail, the Iki Crater), the Jungalow is a super quiet home surrounded by rainforest (and some chickens and peeping coqui frogs, at night). It’s beautifully decorated and has 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 baths. Bring your rain jackets (and a layer of warm clothes), visit Thai Thai for a yummy dinner, check out the Volcano Art Center, and grab homemade banana and pumpkin bread at the general store (next to Thai Thai) and you’re good to go!"

"This property fully deserves its near-perfect reviews. Plenty of space for our family of four, utilizing the pull-out futon and air mattress. Our kids loved the koi pond, finding giant frogs and snails around the lawn, and waking up to a rooster crowing. No air conditioning, but ceiling fans and open windows kept the unit cool enough even in June. Idyllic location, relatively short drive to Volcanoes NP or anything else on Hilo side. Very well stocked including full cabinet of beach gear. Friendly and helpful hosts. We hope to visit again someday."

"My husband decided to take me to Hawaii this year for my birthday & I must say the home & island he picked out was perfect. The home was in a great quiet & beautiful neighborhood. There was so much to do on the big island that after being out all day, it was so nice being able to go back to a house that was clean, in a great location & was in a very quiet neighborhood. We spoke with the on island property manager twice regarding questions & she was so helpful. If you’re thinking of visiting the big island, definitely consider this home for your stay!"

"We absolutely loved this property and the views. Nothing beats the view. Felt secluded and private and the onsite hosts were very nice . Large home and huge windows to look out at ocean. Saw lots of turtles and spinner dolphins out front. Beautiful sunrises. Hope to be back again. Mahalo."
