"Conveniently located off a busy street within easy walking distance of both underground and JR stations, Several good restaurants nearby featuring Kobe beef A5 and Kaiseki dinners. I don't like eating much for breakfast and find that traditional Japanese breakfast are ways too much food early in the morning. Fortunately there were a number of nearby coffee and pastry shops to sample. The spa area was quite busy so book early to get the time you want. Free fresh coffee in the lounge was a plus. Only upper floors of the hotel have a decent view of the harbor area."

"Absolutely amazing and highly recommend! From the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff, to the cleanliness of the property and all the amenities, everything was perfect! 10/10!!! The staff spoke or understood english which made communication very easy, they have a shuttle bus that will take you wherever and pick you up, free coffee/tea/juice in the lounge, free laundry (2 washers/dryers, dryers take 1-2 hours to dry). We stayed in one of the suites and it had complimentary drinks in the fridge, tea/nespresso on the counter and some arima onsen cookies! The staff gave us a tour of our room during our check in and showed us how to book hot springs. There’s 8 total to choose from (4 indoor/4 outdoor), you can book your first session immediately at check in then once you’ve used your reservation you can immediately book your next one through a QR code. Highly recommend outdoor #2/#4, they were our favorites! We stayed for 2 nights and it was perfect. Again, I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Arima onsen area!!! Thank you for making our honeymoon special!"

"Very nice views on the high floors but the rooms are very small since we only went for 2 days we only had our carry on’s but if you brought checked luggage it would be hard to find a spot in the room to open it."

"Lovely Japanese-style hotel with every amenity you could want: free coffee, onsen, laundry, robes, etc… Spacious, clean rooms. Loved the massage I booked! (As a side note: restaurants in the area close very early. We arrived after 7 pm and had no dining options. Apparently there is dining at the hotel restaurant if you book it as a package? We didn’t add it at the time of booking so we were left with dinner options from the mini mart across the street. Word to the wise. )"

"We’ve stayed at the Hotel Okura Kobe 3 times for the last 3 years . Unfortunately this property is showing sign of wear and tear . This room was booked on Hotels.com and by doing so I didn’t receive some of the perks available as if I booked directly with the hotel . No waters , cookies or daily newspaper . Along with have an exposed carpet seam and Threads unraveling was a hazard as you could snag your toe on them . The trim around the closet door was peeling and should been along the carpet attended to prior to my stay or any future guest . The small things like newspaper, papers and water should always be offered regardless if we booked directly or a secondary source . Our friends who were also on this trip received the amenities with their room stay which made me aware of them ."
