"The staff was excellent, the rooms were fine and the location was great. I usually check places very carefully and was unaware that there are steps leading up to the hotel, and then steps up to the room, and no one was there to assist with getting baggage up. Restaurant was only open for breakfast, and there was no laundry service on site. Just little things that might have made me book elsewhere had I known. "

It was a special experience to stay in a historic building on the central plaza of the historic old town area. Really, this was an experience of a lifetime. "Perfectly located hotel with the nicest most helpful staff. Marina, Rocco, all of the staff (and Hector the cat) were amazing. The view from our room was so pretty, and it was beautifully decorated. We came in February and the room was cozy warm (with great shower too). Comfortable beds, well-cared for property. (Fellow Americans: some units are up stairs. VERY worth it!! But talk to staff if you have trouble with stairs.) Lots of restaurants and all attractions were walkable. We hope to be back next spring!!"

"Fantastic location, beautiful woodland walk along the coast and also €5 Uber to split centre. Very peaceful at night and just a great location. Special mention to Ana , I could have listened to her all day about the history of Croatia and places to visit , Croatian people are very friendly but Ana was amazing ! I also love that this hotel is often staffed by students , giving them an opportunity to learn about working life , this is a great thing in my opinion. I’m already planning to return next year and I will be booking here again . Paul Collett "
