"The staff at the hotel were excellent. They work so hard and went well out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. The room was clean, but the bathroom could do with some care and attention for cleanliness, particularly around the utilities (e.g. shower). The area was very congested and noisy, and if you’re from abroad expect to be heckled by the locals wanting to sell you things for extortionate prices, particularly tuk tuk transport. "Mainly I will say that we didn’t stay in the blue pearl. When we got to the blue pearl it was closed, undergoing renovations. The owner who was sitting there sent us over to another one of his open hotels, karat 87, down the way in another rickshaw. A bit of confusion I’d say."
