"We had a wonderful stay in the ground-floor studio at Ballas Apartments. The courtyard is amazing, and the views looking across Agia Effimia harbour are absolutely incredible. Stavros was an exceptional, genuinely helpful host who went above and beyond at all times to ensure we had the best holiday. Location-wise, it’s ideal—we easily drove to Assos and Fiskardo in around 40 minutes. The drive from the airport is straightforward, but a hire car is essential for exploring. "We had a lovely stay at Liberatos Village. We stayed in an apartment with a kitchenette, which was a great choice. It seemed reasonably new compared with other parts of the hotel and was very clean and comfortable, with one of the best showers we've ever had at any Greek accommodation! The hotel is sprawled across a large area, and our room was quite a walk from the reception and pool area, but we appreciated the privacy this afforded. Lassi is a small but very pleasant resort, with many nice tavernas and easy transport links to nearby Argostoli. Please note that it is very hilly! We had not fully appreciated how steep a hill the hotel was on, which made the walk down to the main street and back up again each time rather daunting. Many people took a taxi up the hill, which cost EUR 8 each time, but we preferred to brave the walk - we certainly came home fitter than when we arrived! We were rewarded at the top by the stunning views. We must also thank Liberatos Village for putting us up for an extra night after our 8.30pm flight home was grounded at the last minute. They were very kind and accommodating during these difficult circumstances and we really appreciated it."

"Emelisse resort was fantastic! Beautifully maintained and clean rooms, convenient location within walking distance to Fiskardo (alternatively on site shuttle upon request). The resort had a number of excellent amenities, including sports, games, spa, pools, private beach/access to ocean, plus much more! Most staff were very helpful, especially when it came to my nut allergy (although I will say, some staff were slightly arrogant which was unpleasant at times). The breakfast was delicious and had a good selection which varied each day. There was free gated parking available onsite). We would not hesitate to return!"

"From the moment we stepped into this property we were met with a friendly host who continued to be very helpful throughout our stay. The apartments are across the road from the pebble beach and a 15 minute walk to Sami. The pool was clean with plenty of lounges and umbrellas. The apartment was large with a balcony, kitchen and washing machine. We did not hire a car but used taxi’s which were very efficient. The fare from the airport was 60 euro and took about 45 minutes. Highly recommended for people who want a relaxed and peaceful experience and environment."

"We where a bit disappointed by the breakfast time keeping. The buffet was never fully ready at 7.30 as the hotel stated. We needed to get on with our day and were always waiting for the full item availability. Basically you only started to put out breakfast at 7.30 Otherwise our stay was great"

"Thalassa Boutique Hotel is a very nice property. The rooms are a good size with a nice balcony. It offers two pools, a very nice outdoor bar/lobby and a wonderful restaurant. I would say the only setback was the construction right across the street from the hotel which made the road to the beach dirty and dusty. Honestly we found Costa Costa beach which is a 9 minute walk and we went there every day bc it was fabulous. The rooms are very clean. They change linens and towels every day and the cleaning staff is so sweet and friendly. They come into your room every evening, get the room ready for the night, leave Leonidas chocolate and water bottles Breakfast is included in the price and there are a lot of choices to pick from. The restaurant offers a Greek night with live music which we attended and had a lot of fun. It also hosts a barbecue night with a fixed menu and price. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you go to Kefalonia"

"We had an absolutely lovely time at this hotel, the hotel met all our expectations and far more, the staff are fantastic, so polite, happy and cheery, we could not fault our stay here. It was in such a lovely spot. We will definitely be coming back. We nearly opted to go next door to the 5 star hotel but after reading both sets of reviews for both of these hotels we are so glad we chose this one."
