"The Lodge is situated on the edge of the canyon with spectacular views. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with a nice big shower, however, the shower head fixture had been fixed with a finger plaster and was shooting water out in all directions. The food is ok, not great, and I would have expected a higher quality at a lodge in this price range."

"The scale system used by hotels.com doesnt do Alte Kalfoken lodge justice. It's a beautiful property, surrounded by nothing but the beautiful nature and wildlife of Namibia (Sure, theres a train track beside the property, but there aren't any trains running through. The staff are lovely, the scenery is picturesque and the food is amazing. If you're even considering staying in the Keetmanshoop area, skip it and drive a bit further to Alte Kalfoken. You will not regret it."
