If location and view are important to you while spending your vacation time at Waipouli Beach Resort, it doesn’t get any better than this….Unit D406 is a Top Floor Penthouse perched in the CENTER of the complex over-looking the pool straight out to the ocean. There are only two other Penthouse units at the resort that have DIRECT OCEAN VIEWS over the stunning lazy river swimming pool. All others with ocean views over the pool have angled views due to obstructions from other buildings.

The Waipouli Beach Resort and Spa by the Sea are conveniently located approximately 10 miles from the airport, halfway between Princeville and Poipu, in the historic town of Kapaa on the Coconut Coast. This 5 star resort has won several builder awards, including the 2006 'Award of Excellence'. The Crown Jewel Penthouse has a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Wolf Range, Brand New Stainless steel Dishwasher, granite counter tops, and travertine tile. No expense was spared on the quality and construction.

The resort is its own paradise within the wonderful island of Kauai. The resort boasts the only salt water swimming pool on the island. Water slides, water falls and a lazy river to float down with your sweetheart or kids. The sandy bottom entrance and play area for the kids will keep them occupied for hours. Three separate spas at different temperatures. Tiki Beach Bar, poolside massage, poolside snack/restaurant and sandy beach steps from your home away from home.
The resort is within walking distance to Starbucks, Longs Drugs, Safeway, Papaya's health food, McDonalds, Pizza, Jamba Juice, and several high end restaurants as well as local Hawaiian style vendors.

Coconut Marketplace is a short two minute drive with lots of shops and additional dining. One can stroll over 60 shops and restaurants brimming with everything from resort wear to unique jewelry, local artwork, collectible treasures, and handmade crafts. Great property

Perfect Spot

The description of this property seemed too good to be true. But it is accurate. I stayed here with my daughter. We had separate bedrooms, shared the spacious common areas, and we had the best time. The kitchen is fantastic and well-stocked with equipment, and the grocery store is right across the street. The location was perfect for us, too, as we had several day-outings planned on both the north and south sides of the island throughout the week.Finally, Lori was fantastic and answered all our questions quickly. She accommodated a special request that really helped us out with our schedule (thanks, Lori!), and helped us plan our stay before we even got there.

Would love to go back!

Beautiful views of the pools and ocean. Onsite restaurant/bar with delicious food and drink, though their hours are a little restricted. The kitchen was well stocked. We usually had our breakfasts and lunches in the condo and went out for dinners. Beds were comfy and there was plenty of seating for 4. Very clean with plenty of towels and a washer and drier in the unit which really came in handy. There was a closet with beach chairs and umbrellas, boogie boards and such for our use. Excellent communication with owners. Would definitely stay here again.!

Fantastic property

Condo was fantastic! Great location on the property. Great views of the beach/ocean. Super clean and really nice kitchen and bathrooms. Beds were super comfy! Added bonus there were beach chairs, snorkeling gear, and boogie boards for us to use. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect for families

Great location, amenities, awesome pool for kids. Condo has lovely view of pool and ocean. Stocked with beach gear, etc. I wish these condos had 3 bedroom options, as they are quite expensive for a single family and too small to share with another family. All in all, a lovely place to stay, however.

Great View and Property

What a very nice place to u wind. Everything was clean, checkin and out super easy, everything worked and the view is awesome. Easy to get anywhere around town just too bad that side of the island there are few swimable beaches as the shores are all rocks; but you can find suitable arrangements nearby. Great access to bike path and supermarket which is a huge plus.

Excellent Communication

The unit was as advertised. Beds were comfortable, plenty of towels, beach chairs tucked into a closet for our use was nice. We had an issue while we were there, but Lori was super responsive and did the best she could to assist. The communication before we rented (had some questions), after we officially rented, and while we were there was really top notch.

Amazing place and property

This place is awesome. Great views, perfect setup, and amazing property. Had everything we needed to cook, bbq, and enjoy our time. The pool is great for families and we love the spa with the sand bottom. Our place was very clean and ready for our arrival. We read previous concerns about the elevator noice, but didn’t find it to be an issue. Would recommend staying in this room.

Beautiful view and location. Quite a bit of dust around A/C vents and on tops of hard to see surfaces. We were more sensitive to this due to dust allergies. Could use a deep cleaning.

Well maintained property

Had several very uncomfortable nights. We had problems with the air condition and after maintenance leaves we could not find anyone. There apparently was an issue with the cooling towers.

A Truly Wonderful Property

We have traveled extensively staying in numerous hotels and condos in great places. Most times, the pictures advertising our choice of properties for vacation paint a better picture than the actual product. This property was the exception. The decor, condition, space, view, pool area, and supplies pre-stocked for our stay very much exceeded our expectations. Much thanks to the owners and property manager for a wonderful experience. P.S. - Our family of three are pretty avid exercisers; the walking, jogging, biking path along the ocean shore was memorable.

Beautiful Kauai Condo!

Been to Kauai several times over the past few years, but had never stayed in Kapaa. This trip we traveled with our son, daughter-in-law and grandchild. We all loved this condo! It was exactly as advertised in VRBO. Plenty of space for all of us and the layout was perfect for privacy for everyone. Great pool for us and our 4-year old granddaughter! Lots of good restaurants very close by for everyone's eating preferences and the condo is centrally located just a few minutes north of the airport. (Recommend if you stay here to rent bikes in town and ride up the coast trail.) The best thing I could say about this condo is that we'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and so relaxing

I rented this property because my husband likes to sit out on the lanai and stare at the views. We loved the resort because we are seniors and despite being right next to the pool, it was quiet by 9:30pm every night. Lori was a great asset and seemed to respond so quickly that she must be working 24/7! It was everything we expected and as advertised. Since we were there when it was cool, we never used the A/C and let the sliding doors open and fans on and it was cool and comfortable. However we learned that an hour before sunset the mosquitoes come out in droves so don’t sit on the lanai as it overlooks the beautiful koi pond and we unfortunately ended up with a bunch of mosquitoes in our unit when we opened the screen doors to escape from them. But it was still a wonderful stay!

Beautiful property at a great location with lots of amenities

This location was a perfect blend of everything crucial. First, the weather was a huge plus. It seemed to us that it rained less than in the north and more southern areas. Of course, the rain comes and goes, and didn't stop us when doing activities in other areas, but it was nice to wake up every day to beautiful sun. Because it's located right in the middle, we easily explored both the northern and southern coasts. There was a grocery store & several other shops across the street. On the property, the pool & hot tubs were just lovely. Super clean & beautiful. I wish they would have allowed a few inflatables in the pool for the kids but other than that, there was nothing not to love about the pool. My kids especially enjoyed the family hot tub & slides. We were there in the fall so the surf was a little more intense & that limited being in the ocean right outside the resort but super close, were a few other beaches that had a little more natural barrier and were better for swimming with small kids. The restaurant on the property opened at 3pm each day & offered delicious food and drinks, as well as a great view. The condo itself was also super clean and felt new. Comfortable beds/pillows and lots of space for our family of 4. I just loved the view every day and appreciated the boggie boards, chairs, & noodles to use. Lori and David were quick to respond and very accommodating. The concierge also offered great advice and was another added plus over other VROBs.

Building design and maintenance issues

I really debated about leaving this review. Lori was great, and worked hard to make our experience good. The owners have a very well appointed condo, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need to have a great time. My problem is with the building. And I know that the owner and manager have little control over that, so I feel bad about this coming back on them, but I still think that future travelers should be aware. While staying in this unit, the elevator noise was much worse than I anticipated from other reviewers. I took it with a grain of salt that there is no way that such a high end building with units selling for almost a million dollars would have failed to insulate the elevator mechanics from the individual unit HVAC systems. But I was wrong. The noise echos loudly through the duct work into all rooms. Lori, being amazing, moved us to another unit- also on the top floor. This one had some other sort of mechanics room above it, and 2 days later something broke. This caused a constant whomp-whomp sound throughout the unit (imagine an unbalanced washing machine that never finishes the spin cycle). This was loud enough to wake our kids multiple times in the night. The kids in the room across the hall also complained. All the building employees on site (this is not referencing Lori) shrugged and said "not our job." It just seems like in such a high end place where people are spending thousands of dollars to stay, there should be on-call maintenance. People shouldn't have to gamble on having a nice stay in such a facility.

Our family had a blast here. The location can't be beat. The pool, slides, hot tubs, and lazy river were exceptional. We can't say enough about how much fun the family had. The rooms and kitchen were like a home away from home.
