"We rented this property thinking that we were renting the whole house as advertised. It turns out that that this house is a hostel as per the sign out front and we were given one room. After some discussion with the owner we were given three rooms. The owner had not been paid by VRBO and I had paid VRBO one month ahead of time. "Although we arrived late at night, they accommodated us with great care. There are also excellent refrigerators and washing machines, which are recommended for long-term stays. "Worst stay ever - DON'T GO THERE! The place is a mess. So dirty everywhere. On top of a cabin we found a thick layer of dust and a condom package, cables were hanging out of the walls, probably blood on a pillow (so disgusting) and the pool water was so dull that we wouldn't let our kids swim in it. " Absolutely amazing stay at Shangri-La Colombo! The hotel is stunning and super comfortable, but what really stood out was the incredible service. Special thanks to Nisal at the front desk—so professional and helpful—and Ishani in the lobby lounge, who was warm, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back! "
