I am very much in love with “old” buildings; the decor in the house was spectacular , the gardens and the house was well maintained! It felt like you were “stepping back in time”! "Loved our stay. The unit was beautifully presented inside and out with generous breakfast provisions provided. The bed was comfortable and the hosts have provided everything you may need for your stay. I loved the bed pillows provided, one soft and the other firm to cater to all needs. The outdoor area was inviting however because of the cold we enjoyed sitting in front of the sliding doors enjoying the morning sun streaming through. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend."

"Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult."

The Shiraz Homestead was so spacious, loved the big bedrooms, one with a four poster king-sized bed which was lovely & comfortable. The deck was perfect for an afternoon wine and morning coffee/ breakfast that is supplied at the cottage. Great spa bath to relax.
