Kamadhoo Vacations from SAR5,701

Went there last year and this year. Big difference in the upkeep of the property, we we’re in the over water villas and most of the roofs had holes in them, the room itself was good, but as we we’re looking in depth around the property there is much work to be done make it worth the 20,000$ we paid to be there for 14 nights. My wife, my 5 year old and I caught traveller’s diarrhea, so we went to the clinic on the island, very helpful doctors. It was a huge nightmare as we were “stuck” in our room unable to get out because of the illness. They had mentioned that the week before we got there, they had over 50 cases of traveller’s diarrhea on the island. After almost 10 days of feeling on/off, we we’re able to get “back” to having our regular vacation, but we did notice there wasn’t any sanitary measures. No handwashing station anywhere on the resort, so we brought our little bottle of hand sanitizer with us and we would use it before every meal, as precautionary measure for us. Unfortunately, we had paid for the all inclusive package, but didn’t use much of it as we were all very sick. We will not be going back unfortunately as we sadly see the resort is going down in quality and maintenance.

Absolutely fantastic stay- we were met at Male airport and looked after to our flight to Ifuru Island which is outstanding. All the staff looked after us with extreme courtesy and were extremely welcoming. Everywhere was very clean and cared for and the food very variable and to a high standard. Snorkelling was amazing we saw fish/stingrays/reef sharks/turtles/ resident heron. On our return we were met again at Male airport and looked after and helped to check in for our flight home. Cannot recommend this Island strongly enough ! ALL the staff were very dedicated and very hard working and so sorry can’t remember everyone’s names but very much felt a warm/friendly/family atmosphere. It is an amazing resort, and I was lucky enough to spend my birthday there. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, which made our stay truly special. We were especially impressed by Maniuu, who looked after us throughout our stay and made sure everything was perfect. We absolutely loved the sound and healing session overlooking the beach with the wonderful June – it was such a peaceful and unique experience. All of the restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was consistently good with great variety. The marine life around the resort is incredible. We saw sharks, many beautiful fish, and even manta rays, which was an unforgettable experience. The surroundings are simply stunning. We stayed in an overwater bungalow, which was fantastic – amazing views, a spacious and comfortable room, and the nets overlooking the ocean were my favourite spot to lie back, relax, and enjoy the scenery. I also received a birthday cake, which was not only delicious but such a thoughtful and lovely gesture. I truly felt spoiled. During our stay, we also took part in art classes with an amazing artist. I was genuinely surprised by how unhurried and detailed the experience was – he was incredibly patient, explained everything step by step, and we came away with a beautiful keepsake to remember our time there.
