"A wonderful stay in a picture perfect location. Definitely worth paying for the lake view room. Breakfast outside of our budget but there’s a bakers and supermarket in walking distance and a friendly cafe next door. Check in process smooth and we received all the instructions we needed. We were also able to buy boat tickets from the hotel. Obertraun is charming and beautiful - much more relaxing and not-touristy than Hallstatt. We would stay here again. "

"This place is just a place for sleeping. The good part is that the room is big for more than 4 guests. Parking space is available. But amenities are insufficient. For examples, there is no conditioner for hire and water temperature is low. Furnitures are a mixed bag. If not for on-site parking, I will try differently places for stay. "

"The location of the house is excellent. Walking distance to the lake, restaurants, bakery, groceries, train station etc. The house is spacious and we especially enjoyed grilling. The host was very hospitable and extremely helpful. We would love to come back."

"I booked this apartment for the view and the price. The view was so amazing, almost the best in town I'll bet. This is an apartment, not a hotel, so don't expect amenities. (I did not). 2 bedrooms and a bath. The beds were comfortable and clean. The pictures are accurate. It was very humid when we stayed. A fan would have been a great addition..Communications with the property were very good. Someone in the cafe next door was very helpful with our questions. You do have to carry your luggage up the one steep flight of stairs. Apartment is a few steps to the city bus, approx 15 --20 minute walk to town (right on the lake). A market is across the street. LOVED our stay there."

"We arrived in Hallstatt around 3pm and found a parking spot in P1. It takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the VRBO. There is a shuttle available, but I cannot comment on that. The key was in a lock box beside the VRBO, on the Seeside Café wall. You have to climb stairs to get to your room. Upon walking in, the lake view immediately draws you in! It is breathtaking! The place itself is on the small side, but still comfortable. There is a toilet and sink behind a door on one side of the bed and a shower and sink, no door, on the other side. There is also a table and two chairs, a very big armoire and a desk. The bed is very comfortable. There is a table and chairs on the balcony. The chairs are not the greatest however. It would have been nice to have pillows on them. Also, a mini-fridge would be a great addition. The location is fantastic, within walking distance of everything! There is a grocery store across the street. We had breakfast at the Seeside Café: great food, excellent price! Overall, you will not be disappointed!"
