"Excellent location just between glacier lagoon and Stokksnes. Staff was the best I had in all accomodations on my trip. Very nice, warm people around, making me feel very homey. Kudos to receptionist, kitchen lady, waiter and cleaning person. I had a room with a great view of mountains and glacier. Breakfast and dining were great."

"This hotel is top notch. Beyond beautiful with wonderful amenities. There are 3 hot tubs and a sauna with beautiful views. There is also a small pond to take a cold dip in if you dare! The breakfast was delicious and the service was wonderful. The lobby is beautiful and a comfortable place to hang out in. Parking is included. The room was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was perfect and the coffee in the room was appreciated. It was replenished each day. The room cleaning service was also very nice. The only con for us was the room had a strong smell like body odor. It was extremely apparent as soon as we opened the door. We debated on informing the hotel but thought it would be remedied by opening the window. It was not fixed by opening the window. We then thought it was too late to inform the staff. This con is slightly on us for not informing staff. But we were tired when we arrived and didn’t feel like dealing with it. However, the bottom line is that this hotel is beautiful, with great service, and I would highly recommend staying here for a luxurious experience in a remote part of Iceland. "

"I think they have two guesthouses, and we stayed in the older one. (Not sure how that’s assigned, although we did book very last minute). The walls in our room were thin (you could hear distinct voices next door although not what was actually being said), and the bathroom was a bit musty. The breakfast was a great deal and offered fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal, and carrot cake."

"Comfortable beds but only shampoo & conditioner provided, no body soap. Kitchen closed temporarily due to low season but hotel provided yoghurt, muesli & cornflakes, coffee & tea in dining area - much appreciated."

"Generally, it was a good stay. However, I was disappointed with the way a problem with my dinner was managed. Although the cod and mashed potatoes well well prepared, my asparagus was burnt. I drew this to the attention of the waitress and she said she would speak to the chef. When leaving, nothing was said. I experienced my treatment as, just a tourist, he won't be back. Being charged for a full meal when part was inedible seems to be poor customer service. "
