"If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear."

"This place is awesome. We got in late, and Alan still met us with the gate open and was very welcoming. Property has an ac, but we didn't need it because there's always a nice breeze. You can hear the ocean from the property at night. Alan has thought of the little things like the charging ports on both sides of the bed that have USB, USB C, and a normal outlet. Alan is responsive to all questions, and has plenty of local recommendations."

We weren’t in the house much, we would leave early in the morning and come back late at night and we couldn’t have found a better place. "Impossible to beat the proximity to Volcanos NP. The price point is fantastic relative to similar properties. The rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. Welcome treat was a great touch. The property itself was cool and definitely decorated in a unique, cool manner. But what made this place excellent were the hosts, Joy and John, who clearly want your stay to be great. And ours was."

"We had a fabulous stay and absolutely loved the cabin's lanais, all the natural light, the kitchen, propane fireplace, open concept, and wood features. The cabin was easy to get to and the access road is well maintained. We enjoyed cooking dinners every night and even enjoyed some cocktails out on the lanai using the stemware provided. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!"

"Hands-down the best place we stayed during our 2.5 week trip to Hawaii! Barry and Jim were wonderful hosts, we were greeted by Barry as soon as we arrived! He helped get us settled in and showed us around the cabin. The cabin comes stocked with breakfast items, coffee, and fresh fruits! It is located close to Volcanos National Park, so it was perfect for my husband and I since we love hiking! The cabin was spotless and the bed was very comfortable! When we go back to Hawaii, we will definitely...

"The location of Jade Oasis is perfect for the Park! It is close enough that you can split your day and have a morning and evening visit. The room was super clean and the bed was great. The homemade muffins were a nice touch. I would come back!"

"The house is comfortable with ample rooms. The bathrooms are unique. Location was perfect, near the beach, not far from great farmers markets. Nearby Sea View has a lot of local entertainment. We enjoyed the evening frogs and morning roosters. The owners dog is very sweet."

"I loved the night time action hearing all the wildlife it was amazing. Having the bathroom outside was awkward but was trying new things and the second night i wanted a hot shower and it was nothing but cold water...my husband and I are plumbers and we take a look at the water heater and it wasnt staying lit...so we didnt even get to have a shower after sweating all day and going to the beach...pretty place but they need to take the money from the extra days i didnt stay there and possibly fix...
