"An absolutely fantastic stay, the property and surroundings are stunning. We really enjoyed the safaris with our guide Moses, he is very passionate about his job and this shows during the tours. He went above and beyond to help us enjoy our trip and see as many animals as possible by tracking the animals through the park even in the long grass. "Amazing privacy & great for stargazing (less light pollution - close to zero - than around the lodge). We had everything we needed in term of facilities. The only slight negative was the staff - when we asked for some info (e.g. the walking trails on the property), they didn't really make an effort to explain things well."

Expansive Kalahari views
"We had a two night stay at Bagatelle - stsying in one of the dune chalets. The view of the Kalahari is spectactular from both the balcony and the room and it is possible to see several animals. Apart from the dune chalets, it looked like the view from other rooms was far inferior.
The room itself was large (not massive) and well conditioned.
The main lodge building has the restaurant and pool - both are functional but nothing special - except Kudu wander in.
The food was excellent - highest quality we had in Namibia.
Overall staff service was good if a little unenthusiastic.
The lodge offers a few activities. We did the nature drive around the ranch and cheetah feeding which was excellent. They also offer star gazing but the astronmer was not there so we were unable to do it."

"This was simply perfect. We had been roaming Africa for 2 months on a motorcycle when we showed up in Gobabis exhausted. On our Africa journey, we stayed at many different accommodation, from the guesthouse in a small village in Tanzania to the world renowned big hotel chain. Our room at the Windpomp Guesthouse was BY FAR the best hotel room we stayed in. Period.
We had the luxury room and it was simply perfection. The room was big and the bathroom was larger than the room we had in the previous town.
The staff was awesome and always happy to talk to the crazy Canadians on the motorcycle.
Breakfast was very good. The hotel did not have a restaurant when we were there, but there is plenty of good ones around the corner.
A true gem in the Namibian desert. "
