"The place was clean and tidy, well set up for a large group. Sadly my Dad and I arrived late at night so didn’t get to really experience the property much but I could imagine it being a wonderful escape for a big family or group of friends to enjoy. Walking distance to shops, cafes and the local pub/restaurant as well as the Farewell Spit tour company (which is why we were late arriving). "Such a wonderful part of Golden Bay, close to everything, especially Collingwood, Pakawau and incredible Wharariki Beach and Farewell Spit. Great bach which comfortably accommodated our family. Beautifully located between estuary and beach."

"The communication about the layout of the property could have been better. There is no internal access to the downstairs rooms. There is no WIFI - in this day and age - you really should have WIFI (especially for when the weather is inclement in Golden Bay - which is often is). The TV is just a screen to play DVD's - there is no channel service. We weren't told you can't drink the water until the morning we got the check-in instructions - it was Easter Friday - so we couldn't buy bottled...
