"Hostel was all good! Some pretty fancy toilets. It did get a little loud at night in the men's dorm due to the trains every now and then but a couple of ear plugs solved that problem. Great location close to Kagoshima-Chuo and food vendors. Pretty happy with everything given the price I paid."

"I arrived after 7:00pm and had to self check-in with the digital codes that the staff provided. It was easy and smooth and the staff had beening very helping. Let them know beforehand if you are arriving late so they can leave you informations via email instead of phone call. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay. And the location was superb. Great value for traveling on a budget."

"I had a great stay at Tomeru Hostel. The location of the hostel is superb, off street enough to be quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to the tram station to access everywhere in town easily. Gotta climb four storeys to reach the dorm but staircases are an every day thing in Japan anyway. It was raining almost daily when I was in Kagoshima, but a variety of umbrellas were provided for our use. I especially loved the subtle light music that was put on every night in the common room. "台風で飛行機が飛ばなくなり、急遽予約しました。部屋とトイレ、風呂場は綺麗でしたが、一緒に泊まっている客のマナーが最悪でした。安いゲストハウスだからか学生に見える人が多かったですが、夜中まですごくうるさかったです。1Fのラウンジは24時間のようですが、テレビ観ながら夜中までギャーギャー、、。部屋の壁は薄く、廊下の足音、くしゃみの音、隣の部屋のいびきもまるまる聞こえてきます。そんな中、ヘアドライヤーは23:00-6:00の間は使用禁止の案内もあるのに守らず、廊下で夜中の3〜4時にずっとドライヤーを使用し、おしゃべりをしてました。朝も5-6時にまたドライヤーの音が聞こえて、大きい足音。夜から早朝はスタッフさんがおらず、注意する人もいないのでやり放題の状況。結局一睡もできず、本当に最悪でした。騒音で寝れず、次の日を台無しにしたい方におすすめです。"
