This home was perfect for my family gathering. We loved everything about the house, location, amenities, and the little perks of staying here like coffee, fully stocked kitchen! The fire pit overlooking the river was the chefs kiss! We would definitely stay here again. Host was extremely responsive and welcoming.

Lara was the best hostess that answered all our questions and helped us the entire week we spent here. We loved that the river was so close and got inspired to do an extra fun excursion of floating it. Everything you need is in this house!!!

I would recommend this beautiful VRBO. Our family enjoyed the beautiful view from the house!!! We had 6 adults, a 15, 13, and 11 year olds. There were plenty of comfortable beds for us all. Enough bathrooms! It was perfect! Thank you so much Lara and Don(?)...

The house has wonderful views and made a great home base for our multi-generational family trip to Juneau for a week. There is plenty of room for everyone to have their own space while the large dining room table, outdoor fire pit and living room overlooking the river encourage gathering together. A wonderful place to explore and connect with family and friends.

We had a wonderful time in Juneau - we booked this house for a family reunion for my wife and sister-in-law who grew up in Juneau. The location was perfect for our our activities - close to Auke Bay and the Mendenhall Glacier. The views from the deck were stunning. It was everything we wanted for our vacation. The owners were quick in responding with any questions. We all wish we were still there!

We had a party of six, with some being loud snorers, so we needed lots rooms. There was more than enough room for all of us! Lovely location on the river with a fire pit, as well as a really good size big screen tv. Very nicely appointed! We’d stay again in a heartbeat! Thanks!

What a great location for the River House. Hiking along the river across the bridge. Hike down a bit and you can see Mendenhall Glacier. We followed trails all the way down to the nature center, saw a frisky black bear in the yard and made a bunch of meals for the family. Our daughter and her sweetheart got married during our stay and Juneau did not disappoint!

Very nice house and views from front and back. Right on the Mendenhall River, the scenery was magnificent. Very clean and comfortable place. Large kitchen with nice appliances and granite counters. Living room has floor to raised ceiling windows with a perfect view of river and mountains. Close to Mendenhall Glacier and not too far from town. Owners were very nice. Definitely recommend this place!

Our family stayed at the River House for 5 wonderful days! I can’t say enough about how perfect this house was for our stay. The location, the scenery of the mountains and the river, the house had everything we were looking for and great owners who were friendly and helpful. We even got to see much wildlife coming through the gorgeous yard. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone and wouldn’t stay anywhere else on our next visit to Juneau. Thank you for helping us to make great family memories Lara and Mike.

11 of us, including two 2-year olds and a 6-year old traveled across the country to visit Juneau and this home was exactly what we pictured. The views are amazing, the communication for an easy arrival and departure was seamless, and it is in the quiet part of Juneau away from all the hustle and bustle of the cruise port. Everything was super accessible and there were hiking trails and fishing spots right outside out door. We would 100% stay here again. Thank you Lara!

This house has everything you need.l! Beautiful views, spacious yard with a great fire pit for relaxing and telling fishing lies, great kitchen with all the modern conveniences and comfortable sleeping for a large group. The location is perfect! Close enough to do the things you want but still out in the woods enough for you to forget about the city. The homeowners are excellent to work with and were the most helpful I’ve ever dealt with. The pictures of the property don’t do it justice. If you are going to Juneau, this is the place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing, just as the property title says. The house was very spacious and comfortable. The location was excellent for our activities in Juneau and Auke Bay. Conveniently located on main road but never noticed traffic or noise. The soothing sound of the river was what we remembered. Walkable to a great trail system. Bedrooms were on the first floor and living area was on the second (for the best views), so you do have to climb steps. Extra half bath upstairs was useful. Easy reservation and check-in with very accommodating host. Our whole group agreed that we would love to stay here again!

Everything was great except for the 14 stairs inside to the upper floor.they had no backing and were slippery. Very dangerous. All the rest was great with great owners who even chopped wood for us.

This house is great, especially the setting. Beautiful views & right on the Mendenhall River. It’s close to grocery stores, the airport, Mendenhall Glacier & Auke Bay. Easy 10-15 minute drive to downtown Juneau. The kitchen was adequately supplied. Really the only down side, & only if you have a disability or problem with stairs, is the set of stairs you have to go up to get to the kitchen/living area. There are quite a few steps. Otherwise we highly recommend the Juneau River House. The view alone is worth it. Our family loved it.

Our group of friends recently had a fantastic getaway in Juneau, and this house was perfect for our stay. The location was incredibly convenient—renting cars allowed us to easily explore all the attractions we wanted to visit. We particularly enjoyed drinking our coffee by the river, watching the rafting tours go by, and spotting eagles in the trees. The view was amazing! We loved hanging around the fire pit and using the grill to prepare dinner. The house is surrounded by several trails and places to explore, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Inside, the home was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals. WiFi was great for those that had to do some business and our host was easily accessible and accomodating. Just a heads-up: there isn't a hot tub unless we missed it, but there is a jetted tub in the primary bathroom. Overall, a wonderful place to stay, I highly recommend it if you are visiting Juneau.

The view alone is worth staying at Juneau River House. The mountains overlooking the Mendenhall River looked different every day depending on the sunlight and clouds, but always breathtaking. The river itself such a calming presence; a natural white noise machine. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay: comfy beds, plenty of blankets, lots of lounging space in the living room, many tv apps for down time, full modern kitchen for ease of use. We found gold pans in the closet and were able to walk down a little path and pan for gold. If you go across the bridge, there’s a trail that takes you down the river, but it was cut off from other trails by the recent floods. If you’re a rock picker, the beach across the river is FULL of them. We had a lovely time and didn’t want to leave.
