"Shaker Village is such an interesting, beautiful and peaceful place. The history of the buildings and the area appeals to us. It’s a great place to walk and enjoy the surroundings. The rooms are adequate and not at all fancy. The shaker pegs provide plenty of places to hang things. We appreciated the night light in our bathroom. The restaurant had an interesting menu and the quality of the food was good."

"Could have been better on breakfast.. the shower door and shower head should have been on opposite side.. had trouble with the door key but it got better.. all in all a nice motel friendly staff.."

"We were pleased with our stay and the place overall. We brought kids with us and they enjoyed the downstairs area and the games. The basement is what you would expect from a basement with games in it, I think it would be nice to have some foam mats or something but my kids didn't seem to mind after a while. The host was SUPER quick to reply to any message and offered help when needed. The road is described as bumpy, we used the steeper entrance and that was fine. Yes, it is a dirt road and narrow so just take it slow, I did test out the other path and that had a few more bumps and holes. You kind of feel like you are driving off the edge of the road when you get off the main road, but you are going the right way. The house was nice and stocked with plenty of movies to choose from, the kitchen has most of the items you need to cook, and the beds were firm. We were thankful for the air conditioning because it was pretty warm when we got there and it helped keep the rooms cool."

"The TV initially did not work, staff quickly replaced the batteries. We were allowed to check in early in order to be on time for a wedding. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of variety."

"Hugo and Shanon were the best. Gave us great local information. Breakfast was like Momma used to make it, If you need a place to call home for a night or more this is it. We will stay here again and again just because we have made new great friends in just one morning."
