"Good location, with a 15 minute walk into the heart of Madrid and where all the shops and restaurants are. However, there are many other shops and cafes en-route. The hotel is clean, has a good vibe and classic rooms are fairly decent size. The gym is small but serves the purpose, the adjacent swimming pool is small (did not use it) and is adjacent to the deck chairs in a pleasant sun area. Nearby public transport is excellent, within easy reach and allows you to reach various ends of Madrid within about 30 minutes or so."

"Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant experience at Sabia Natura. I booked through Expedia for a women-only room, but the check-in process was extremely frustrating and stressful, especially arriving late at night with luggage. The door codes were a major issue from the start. The code for the main downstairs entrance did not work smoothly and took multiple attempts. Then the code for the third-floor entrance to the hostel also took several tries. The next morning, the door code was not working at all, which made the stay feel unreliable and stressful. I arrived around 2 AM and ended up staying in a shared women-only room for the first night. The biggest issue was that there was no bathroom available in the common areas, so I had to rely on the bathroom inside the shared room. That bathroom was occupied from around 6:30 AM by other guests, and by 9 AM I still had not been able to use it. When I tried to speak with the staff, the response felt very robotic. They kept repeating that I could not check into my actual room until 3 PM, but did not offer a practical solution for the fact that I had arrived late, had my bags with me, had issues accessing the property, and did not have reliable bathroom access. I understand standard check-in times, but the lack of flexibility or problem-solving made the experience feel very uncomfortable. Overall, this was not a smooth or welcoming stay, and I would not recommend it for travelers arriving late or who needs reliable access."

"The staff here was excellent, everyone was helpful and friendly, on the morning of checkout they prearranged a taxi to pick me up to take me to the train station. They answered all my inane questions with so much patience, it being my first time in Madrid, I had a lot of them! The hotel itself is in a great location right in Puerta del sol, and only steps to plaza mayor. Highly recommend for first time visitors to Madrid!"

"While the single basic rooms are cozy, they have nice sized bathrooms to spread into and a Bluetooth speaker in the ceiling. We took advantage of Online Check-in and received free coffee, tea and soda during our stay! Staff is friendly and helpful. Easy walk to the train station or Prado. Just around the corner from Reina Sofia, Botanical Gardens, Retiro Park."

"Hotel is dated but looks well maintained and seems to cater mainly for groups which is very apparent at breakfast times and reception area. Breakfast was plentiful with healthy options. Rooms are fine and clean. The biggest issue is a complete lack of any soundproofing between rooms & corridors, leading to very little sleep. I chose the hotel for the proximity to the train station as I was in Madrid only as a base for visiting other cities."

"Great location, walking distance to many cool places, staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were good $17 for breakfast was pricey compared to other options outside the hotel The bathroom in one of the rooms had a bad smell. The maintenance crew couldn’t make it go away. "
