Amazing time at an amazing house on an amazing property.
Return visit. seamlessly fits with the unique beauty of Joshua tree. Amazing indoor and outdoor space to lounge and enjoy the views from. Very comfortable, extremely clean, wonderfully quiet, and Steph is easy to reach out to. We enjoyed leaving the bird seed out that was provided. Wonderful Vrbo.
This beautiful little house has great amenities, the right amount of privacy and ambiance, fantastic views, and all the vibe you could need. We come to JT to get some peace and clarity, and this is definitely the right place to do that. The proximity to the park is an excellent perk. We will definitely come back here.
We were there for the pleasant views and Joshua Tree National Park, and the house worked perfectly for us. It is well equipped with basic necessities. The property is a bit desert quirky, and accurately described on the VRBO site. The owner if very responsive and helpful.
We loved this place!!! Well thought indoors and outdoors design. Views are stunning, close to the park entrance and town. Stephanie was always on top of every question we had.
Definitely will be coming back soon.
Comfortable, with lots of windows to enjoy the views. If you plan on doing much cooking, you may find the kitchen awkward, but it worked fine for us. Very convenient to JTNP.
Our host, Steph, was great… she stayed in touch to confirm that things were going well; excellent communication. The desert home was perfect with a tremendous view of the surroundings and nice outside seating/viewing. If you’re looking for an authentic desert retreat with nice amenities, this place fills the bill.
Peaceful place to connect with the desert and wildlife
Outdoor living space was glorious. It was relaxing to sit outside with a cup of coffee in the morning to sit feeding and watch the wild life. Coming back after the day out to the evening sunset with the breeze and waiting for the stars. We couldn’t ask for more. The inside space when we decided to come in was cozy and comfortable. Thanks Stephanie we had a great time.
Stephanie was super responsive and was very helpful leading up to our stay. House looks as pictured in the post and kept us warm during the cold winter! You can tell someone lives in the house as there were dog beds, filled medicine cabinets, etc. but overall for the price, was a great stay! Cute neighborhood too.
My husband and I went to this location because of the close proximity to Joshua Tree park. But in actuality we could have stayed at the house the entire time. We saw coyote, road runners, and numerous other wildlife while sitting on the front patio! It was everything and more that we wanted. Thanks to Steph for keeping it real out in that beautiful area! Wish I was there now!
We stayed at Steph’s place for a month this winter, looking for a break from snow, somewhere to relax and do some hiking. We got all that and so much more. Every morning waking up to the sun rising over the incredible mountains, visits from coyotes and even a bobcat, a comfy bed but mostly a sense of peace and energy that we really needed. Steph is an amazing host who will encourage you to embrace the desert and the homes history. It’s so much more than a place to stay.
Steph's place is amazing and wonderful! The touches, the amenities, all of it, inside and out. My grown (30's) children stayed there and were comfortable and impressed. They said the "Bird TV" was top-notch! Stephanie was super responsive and helpful. Fantastic!
Steph's home is clean, spacious, and very quiet. Situated on 7+ acres, you have a great view and no noise. Sitting on the couch or hammock on the front patio is perfect for the edges of the day. The bed is comfy and towels soft. We had a few questions and Steph immediately answered them. She is a great host. We'll be back.
It was in a great location with views of the valley near J. T. Very quiet and peaceful. Kitchen and baths were very clean and updated. Nice sitting areas outside to enjoy the birds and critters , and views.
Challenges with one toilet not running correctly, and an outside light going on at 1:20 a m - waking us up and going off and repeating the situation .
Stephanie's property is located very closer to JTNP with views to forever. The property was well stocked and clean. Our bed was comfy and it was very quiet. Got to see a bobcat stroll by on the patio and a coyote in the distance, so that was very exciting. Only glitch was operating the TV, but Stephanie was very helpful. All it needed were new batteries. All in all a pleasant stay in a uniquely beautiful area.
The owner of this property opens up her home to share and you can immediately tell when walking in. The house is warm and cozy with an extremely relaxing and healing vibe. We have stayed in other homes in Joshua Tree over the years, but none can compare to this; the views were excellent, the property was welcoming and for the first time in a year I finally felt myself completely relax. Steph, thank you so much for opening your home and letting us stay with you... we will most definitely be back :)
My wife and I really like this place. We didn’t see any jackrabbits from the house this time (a fair number in the neighborhood, though). We did get a visit from a very cooperative roadrunner. Good views every direction. The shower, although small, has grab bars. That can be important. The other bath has a tub/shower for those of us without balance problems.
Talk about a great getaway. Very close to the National Park which makes it very convenient when leaving late at night. The home is very beautiful and gives a very peaceful relaxing feeling. Many great books if you want to pick one up. My sons and i enjoyed playing the board games, 90s trivia, and cards. Easy access to grill and fire place. Even my bulldog enjoyed the beautiful scenery. Love that i didnt have to take his bed. A dog bed is provided. Great communications with host. Very flex to help with early check in and late check out. Recommend if you just need getaway.
We stayed here for a family & friends hiking vacation, and it was the perfect spot to visit Joshua Tree and the surrounding area. Communication with the host was frequent and very helpful. The location is wonderful, with great views and it’s easy to get to the park. The house itself is perfect for 2 couples or a family, and has a nice kitchen, an amazing living/family room, a great 3 season room, really nice outdoor couches and spaces, and good bedrooms and bathrooms. There was also a really convenient laundry facility, and easy parking. I’ve recommended this place to a number of folks since we left, and I would stay here again and again. We stayed when it was a bit too cold to appreciate sitting outside (especially at night, when the stars are magnificent), so I’d love to come back when it’s a bit warmer. Very convenient access to shopping and grocery stores, as well as gas stations. Thanks for a great stay!
Never been to JT despite multiple decades in CA and multiple trips to PS area,, so wasn't sure what to expect. The 7 private acres manifest as u ascend the dirt road & the original and expanded house & now iconic Airstream appear. Totally as depicted in pictures. The outdoor space to watch the quail babies and road runner birds in the desert landscape is more interesting than u might think, esp with the host supplied seed, water stations & the birds' established feeding habits. U get the feeling that it's their world. The fire pit is a hit because of the privacy amidst the desert sky. Hostess is both personal and professional & doesn't really need my review given her superlative ratings. As I said it fits and totally delivers in May of 24.
