Punta del Este and Jose Ignacio had the most incredible weather and beaches I've seen. The people were so kind and welcoming, too! You have to have dinner at La Huella, and you absolutely must do a day trip to the Garzon winery. That's where we were headed when we found this beautiful abandoned building located right on the beach. #lifeatexpedia

"This property is well situated,historic,accommodating,and has a great vibe and charm. The rooms are small by American standards and have mostly twin beds,but each room has a full bathroom. The kitchen was more than adequate,while the dining room and "entertainment areas (tv,stereo,cd/dvd players)" always welcomed four of five adults very comfortably. "Beautiful and well designed hotel I couldn’t think of anything I’d change about the place- the design pays attention to every detail, and we had such a great bed, towels and robes. The staff were amazing, helping out people with ease in English, Spanish and Portuguese - the waiter at the breakfast (delicious) instructed a family from Austria on how to drink mate. We were trying to rearrange our flight back so we could stay longer. Definitely coming back. "
