"Our host Tina and her husband Gary sacrificed quite a lot to make this trip happen for me and my family. Long story short, it was perfect. The weather was perfect and we witnessed the most perfect total eclipse IN THE LINE OF TOTALITY!! We sat in Tina and Gary’s back pasture near a pond. It’s crazy, the day before it rained, then eclipse day woke up sunny and stayed that way till later that night. Since after the eclipse it’s been April showers bring May flowers since!! First vacation after retirement.
"The hotel was somewhat centrally located to places we wanted to go. The bed was very comfortable. It was nice to be able to use a bathtub. The staff kept my husband well supplied with coffee. The only drawback was ants coming in thru the A/C unit."
