"We stayed overnight and walked to the train station, opera hall, restaurants, market, tourist attractions, etc. The breakfast buffet was great with lots of items. I would recommend."

"The staff at our check, Ashwin, was very friendly and helpful.He made us feel very welcome. He answered all of our questions patiently and gave us useful tips gor visiting the city. When we found that yhe WiFi didn't work in our room, he came to the room to verify and explained the reason was due to the renovation work. The room we stayed was newly renovated and had a great view of the city skyline."

"Before leaving this review I read a few of the negative reviews of others. Some had decent things to say and some were just rude and expecting 5 star treatment in a 3 star place. This is a no frills hotel. You get what you pay for. Nothing fancy. And that is okay!! These hotels rooms are basic not for hanging out in all day. There are lots of things to do around the hotel so go explore!! Hotel am zoo is in a very convenient location. Close to coffee shops and bakeries and a good diverse selection of restaurants. Also, Our hotel room was clean and simply put together, it feels very safe here. Also the train station is just steps away from the hotel. The staff at the front desk are very kind and courteous. They were extremely helpful to me when I was trying to figure out the train system and by a ticket to Aachen. I butchered many German words (my pronunciation is horrible) but they were very patient with me and figured out what I needed. If you are looking for just a place to stay so you can explore the city then Hotel am zoo is a great option. Definitely recommend for the traveler needing a no frills but affordable, safe, quiet and clean place. 🤗"
