"I highly recommend the Pensione Guerrato if I could give it more stars I would it’s perfect little gem just a few steps from the Rialto bridge. Close to bars and restaurants and a very short walk from St Marks square and museums. Why stay in Mestre when this place is so gorgeous? I had a shared bathroom but never saw anyone else and I was part of a suite which was very secure with a shared kitchen as well. The Hotel is just a few steps from Rialto market and I thought it was charming. Yes there’s no lift but it’s centuries old and full of character although my room was lovely and bathroom and kitchen modern. Staff are kind and attentive and interested as well. Breakfast is fine and more than adequate. The photo is the view from my room. "

"This was a great finding. The hotel it’s simple (not luxury) but has the Italian charm, best location and specially the Amazing Staff Service it’s what's what made the hotel. Take into consideration that in Venice you will arrive by boat and they stop only on one of the sides of the canal. If you select a hotel on the opposite side you will need to cross bridges with stairs only. In this property you will arrive & leave just in front of the hotel. Breakfast was good and the service superb. Everything is walking distance from this hotel. I would definitely stay here again. "

"This place is a gem. Warm and welcoming with fantastic decor. It's very close to the train, like a 7-minute walk. It's off a little pathway. If you have trouble falling asleep, ask for a room that does not overlook the pathway. It didn't bother me much but still a consideration with people walking past on the stone road talking and laughing while you are trying to sleep. I loved my room. It was decorated well with fantastic sequence wall coverings, beamed ceilings, and a glass chandelier. They considered moody lighting for relaxation. The service was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. "
