"We thoroughly enjoyed our week in El Gastor. The house was as pictured, though unfortunately it was unseasonably cold so we could not use the pool. Instead, we got to enjoy a fire most nights! The view across the valley is gorgeous, and the mountain peak just behind the house is also beautiful. We visited Olvera, Grazalema, Zahara, Setinil de las Bodegas, and Ronda; all nearby and easily accessible by car. We rented bikes in Olvera and cycled the Via Verde, and we hiked to the dolmen just up...

"Pasamos un fin de semana donde nos coincidió con el belén viviente y recomiendo visitar el pueblo, estaba súper bonito y puedes ir andando desde la casa, quizás la subida es algo más cansada por la cuesta pero igualmente se hace, en la casa lo único que ecahmos de menos es algo más de calefacción, excepto la chimenea del salón, en el resto de habitaciones se pasa frio en invierno, hay una chimenea en el salón de arriba pero no se podía poner. El lugar nos encantó, sin duda para repetir"

"The place was in an area where all homes apparently had to be behind giant fences and gates. You have to travel tiny, bumpy dirt roads to get there. The host was very strange towards me, making me feel uncomfortable on multiple occasions. She also has no problem just showing up at your supposedly private home and often pops out of her home when she sees you walking to your car (you have to walk by her home to leave or get to your parking spot). My rental car was also damaged while parked there....

"We have just returned from 2 weeks at Casa Charms and loved every minute of it. The house is rustic and has an eclectic mix of furnishings which we found charming. There is so much space with so many areas to sit and relax. Spent the night time playing cards on the veranda and also ate all of our meals there.The annex worked really well for us as it gave our 19 year old son his own space. The pool is private and a really good size. The house is really well equipped with all the kitchen equipment...

"The property is spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The garden is beautiful and the pool lovely, although given the distance from our property to the pool, it was a shame there were no sunbeds next to it. Vejer is a lovely little town with some great restaurants. The nearby restaurant at Patria was also excellent and we really enjoyed the local Italian restaurant called Il Forno, which was relaxed and great value for money. Carin and Carlos are great hosts, welcoming and friendly....

"The whole experience was great, from the start to finish. The property has everything you need and more. The gardens are extensive and obviously the passion of the owner. Plenty of shady areas. Beautiful surroundings and only a 10 minute drive into Arcos. Nothing was too much trouble for Joaquin, and was always available to answer any questions about the surrounding area."

"This apartment was above expectations - we could live in it permanently! Lourdes met us at the apartment, and despite language differences she showed us everything we needed to know. The apartment was, without exception, one of the nicest we have stayed in in Spain. It was spotlessly clean, well-equipped and comfortable. "The property was comfortable and well equipped so it felt very much a home away from home which is what we were looking for. The only thing that would have improved the property was some planting to soften down the fencing of the outside area . The owner and the local contact were both really helpful and attentive and it was a nice touch to receive some veg from the land behind the house. All in all a good base for us to investigate wider area around Vejer as we had planned!"
