Jefferson City has a lot to offer. A wide variety of restaurants and endless places to shop. The State Capitol area is nice to walk around. We love walking on High Street and seeing all the architecture of historical homes and buildings.

Plenty to do for a weekend or day trip. we went to the Missouri State penitentiary tour and had a really great time. They have a lot of small businesses to see, but if you don't have a lot of time or come on a weekend most do close early.

It was really easy to find a place to park at the state capitol to walk around. Missouri state penitentiary does tours but not all year round. Of course they did not do them in Feb. while we were there.

I journeyed to Jefferson City to visit the Capitol. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Alas, did not have enough time in town to explore more fully. Next time!

Don't go in the Winter. A lot of the main sites are closed as it is off season.

Plenty of restaurants in a short distance. JC is not that big of a city. 10 to 15 minutes max to get from one end to the other! Hotel sits very close to US 54 so a little highway noise if your room is on the road side. Back side would be quieter.

A lot of restaurants are closed on the weekend. Thankfully we found a very good Jamaican restaurant!

Jefferson City was a nice small family oriented area that I recommend for most of the visit
"We appreciated how smooth the stay was. The staff were very pleasant.
The window air unit in our room was loud (as they are) but there was no road noise where we were on the far end of the building. The microwave kept tripping the power strip it was plugged into off every two minutes of use or so but we managed.
We were grateful that the soaps provided were PETA-friendly and mostly not single use.
Overall we were quite pleased and will stay again if we are in the area. Thanks to Baymont~"
"I stayed in the hotel by myself for two nights, I was in town for a tournament. This was a great deal! The room was not, like many inexpensive hotels, old looking. The bathroom looks like it has been recently remodeled, the carpet looked new and the air conditioner was ice cold. It was also convenient, close to Lincoln University, a ton of restaurant and grocery store. I would definitely stay here again."
