"This hotel is a charming landmark, renovated old hotel in a location that is very convenient to eighth Street and Golden Gate Park. It is well appointed, with clean, comfortable rooms and has a period charm. The staff is very accommodating. There is a dining room where a better than average breakfast is available every morning and you can bring your own food and eat there. It is very pleasant and well lit. The breakfast are generous and there are snacks available all day. I highly recommend it."

"The Grove Inn was great for a quick trip into San Francisco. Close enough to the area. Be mindful it is San Francisco and the streets are definitely full of hilss. If you can walk, everything is close enough. If you can't, Ubers are always available. The hotel itself was clean and secure with the charm of the Victorian Homes that are known for the area. "I stayed here for a few weeks due to work and it was very pleasant. While it has some dated features it still had very comfortable beds with nice sheets, hot water, very clean and quiet. The cleaning team were very good at their job and very friendly. It’s in a central location with many restaurants to choose from in Hayes Valley. I would suggest the front desk area be cleaner and more attended but I do recommend this place for the price."

"The room and bed were very clean. I appreciate that they use a white duvet instead of the normal brown hotel ones. It made me feel good about the cleanliness of the bed. The shower itself was a bit old so it “looked” dirty but worked fine. We couldn’t get the tv to turn on but it wasn’t a big deal since we didn’t spend much time in the room. You can hear the noise of traffic outside, so if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a basic TV, fridge and microwave.
