"This cabin was just what we wanted! Close to Jamestown and Bemus Point for sightseeing. Short drive to Long Point State Park, where we went fishing. The cabin was so peaceful and clean. "We visited on a very cold winter weekend. The apartment was freezing when we got there but we were soon able to warm it up and enjoy. Accidentally blew a fuse with the space heater and kitchen appliances but the owner took care of it right away. Ample street parking, short drive from downtown. "Great location, able to walk everywhere- market, restaurants, church, and the lake. Plenty of bedroom space, well appointed kitchen. Most is in good condition. Nice big dining table and chairs for meals and games. Easy parking. Drawbacks- steep, narrow staircase to beds and bathroom. Several uneven thresholds. These can trip even the careful. I don’t think I would recommend for elderly or small children because of stairs. That being said, the place had old fashioned charm with modern comforts."

"It was cold early April. At night around 29 degrees, but up to 65 in the sunny afternoon. We were two couples and a dad with an 11 year old, which was an awkward fit for the space. The 11 year old was very happy with the small porch room with the day bed. The 56 year old dad tolerated the small upstairs room that was the gateway to the huge attic bedroom, where I and my partner slept. You do have to trek though that room and down stairs a way to the bathroom. There isn't heating up there that we...

Perfect getaway
"First, I went with my 2 teenagers. It was such a unique set up with the boathouse and the creek. The house was very clean and had everything available. It’s an older house with a lot of character. The sunroom was perfect for morning coffee and all the birds, bunnies and 2 ducks visiting was an added bonus. The boat house was a great hang out place with a game table, games and a TV. Bonfire pit was perfect as well. The owner communicated well and had a book of area things to do, restaurants and grocery stores. The kayaks were a lot of fun and having a private dock was nice. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you to the host!"
