"My family and I had the best Easter break at Fitzpatrick's Castle Hotel. Firstly, the family rooms were an excellent size with two large double beds and plenty of space around them for a family of four (two adults, two children). The rooms were beautifully decorated with a coach and a modern bathroom with a large shower.  My family and I ate at the Mapas restaurant twice during our long weekend stay and we could not fault the food - it was absolutely perfect! We had breakfast here both mornings and there was a great selection with friendly staff to assist. The fact that the restaurant and the bar area are adjoined works really well from an entertainment perspective. The live music on the first night of our stay was great and the singers really interacted with the kids which made it a really special.  On Easter Sunday they had an Easter egg hunt organised for the children which was absolutely fantastic, they also had a special visit from the Easter bunny who delivered Easter eggs to all of the children involved.  This is a great hotel for families - the pool was amazing for the kids as well as Killiney park which is right next door. The best thing about our stay was Sue. We had two small children and she was so attentive with them, so attentive that they didn't want to leave her!! We are very grateful for her hospitality and she definitely made the Easter break a really special one for our 4-year-old twins!! "Parking onsite was great. Lift was broken, which was unfortunate, but helped get our steps in. Location is pretty far from city center, need to taxi in. Penthouse beds were not King size as stated on website (unless the US has their own version of King size beds, they were probably a Queen). Well supplied and good value for cost. "
