Perfect Hideaway

Get apartment beachfront. Great host and the view is incredible.

Location Location

This property is exactly as shown. The location can’t be better. Owner lives onsite and will give tours of the area that are very good. The lunch spot he takes you too on the tour is awesome.

Would definitely stay again

Andy is the man, a generous and gracious host. He knows the town like the back of his hand. Take him up on a scooter or atv rental and let him give you a private tour. Or take a surf lesson. This place is directly on the sand, perfect for a bachelor or an adventurer. Can't beat the location, or beach/sunset views - especially on NYE

Worst VRBO ever

Completely false advertising. The location shown is the second floor on the beach, what they don't tell you is that it is a dump. Only access via exterior metal spiral staircase to a sliding glass door. By the way the door doesn't lock so you feel really protective. The room has a safe, I'm glad Andy gave me the code, I really trust that no one else had it either :). The AC did not work, the windows and doors were rusted closed and or open, depending on which one. The water in the bathroom was turned off so you had to turn it on/off at the valve under the sink or it would continue to run. And the leftover stuff, items, cigarettes, ashtrays and countless other items really made the place quite gross. I was stuck, I almost left that night but it was a steady stream of drug deals going on at the street below so a random guy walking the sidewalk with a suitcase was a bad idea. I managed through the night in a sweaty mess it did get down to about 80 outside and maybe 75 inside that night. Collected my things and found a hotel not far down the road for the rest of my stay in Jaco. I know I could not get my $ back, so arguing was pointless. I happily paid for another room. All I can do is deter others from staying in this place, its absolute garbage. I've never been let down by VRBO before but this one takes the medal, if anyone would have been with me, I would have never gone in.
