Surrounded by water, this 14x3 mile island is home to a plethora of activities including kayaking, fishing (back water/deep sea), surfing, shark tooth hunting, bird watching, photography, dining and more. A relaxing beach getaway or an exciting destination. As the only location in the US ever under the rule of 8 Flags, our island has been home to Pirates and the Prominent. Historic American Beach sits nestled in the dunes on the Southern End as home of the 1st African American Millionaire is the States, Mr A.L. Lewis. Just 1 mile north, accessible only by boat, the picturesque Cumberland Island features homes of the late Carnegie and Rockefeller Families. Property is on a dead end street so very quiet. Owner was very accommodating and house was clean and well stocked. Only negative is the house is on well water so it has that sulphur smell when showering or using faucets. Overall very pleased.

Very clean and spacious, great yard space if you have young ones that need to run. Only a half bath on main, which is not a problem if everyone in your party can manage stairs. Host was very responsive to any questions.

We rented this house so we could visit Amelia Island during the Dickens on Centre festival. Our family enjoyed the house amenities and it was close to all the things we wanted to do downtown. The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly when we sent messages. They stocked the kitchen with plenty of Keurig K-Cups for morning coffee and paper products throughout the house were all well stocked. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your home!

Such a cute, warm and inviting space! Felt like being home. Plenty of necessities on hand like bath tissue, paper towels, etc along with spices, kitchen utensils, cookware, extra linens and more. We stayed at the property for Thanksgiving and it had the perfect kitchen and dining room for cooking and family time! The host is very responsive! Would definitely recommend for others with large families looking for a comfortable getaway.

The house is in fine shape, clean and well appointed. We were on Amelia Island for the Concours car show, so the location was excellent, close to the Ritz and the town of Fernandina. Everything in the house worked well and we would definitely stay there again.

Such a beautiful home. This was great for what we were looking for. Awesome location to downtown and the beach. The beds are probably closer to a full or double rather than queens but it was great for what we did.

This rental was accurately described, nice assortment of cookware and spices in the cabinet. Linens and towels were provided. Communication was fast and courteous. We arrived post Hurricane Debby - so we had some issues with ants. The Cason’s were over quickly to spray and take care of the problem.

The gas stove did not work the first night, because there wasn't any gas for it We bought a new propane cylinder so we could cook. We also had to buy 6 fans to keep the downstairs cool because the a/c wasn't cooling the house properly

We enjoyed our stay at the Cason House. We were there for a wedding that was in Callahan. The location was perfect for us and close to everything in the Amelia Island area. We arrived three days before the wedding so we could explore the area. We had six people in our party and the house was very comfortable for all of us, including my 94 year old dad. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch having coffee every morning. Privacy was good as the house is the last one on a dead end street.

We are older siblings, who rented the house to celebrate our sister‘s birthday. This house was perfect for our get together! Plenty of space, very well maintained, and everything worked perfectly! We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the rockers, reading and talking under the ceiling fans. Plenty of shade from huge oak trees and a quiet neighborhood for walking. I can’t say enough good things about this house and the owners were so accommodating and kind. I would highly recommend it and would rent it again in a heartbeat!
