The Mermaid Den encompasses everything beach with bright colors, coastal art, and an easy atmosphere. Centrally located in Forest Ridge Villages (near the entrance) guests have access to the pool, playground, tennis courts, grilling area, and only a short walk to the beach.

This three-bedroom, two-bathroom unit is on the second story (you must utilize the stairs) surrounded by large, twisting oak trees dripping in Spanish moss.

Upon entering the unit guests are greeted by a clean, comfortable, and charming space. The main living area is equipped with a sofa, chair, new sliding glass doors that lead to the balcony, and a large flat-screen TV providing access to online streaming with YouTube TV. The dining room table can accommodate six people comfortably and the bar stools add an additional two seats.

The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials including a NEW dishwasher, pots/pans, cookware, baking dishes, coffee maker (Keurig), toaster, and blender. Down the hall, you will find a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo, washer/dryer and three bedrooms.

The master bedroom has a King bed, TV, closet and an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The second room has a Queen bed, walk-in closet,and TV. The third room has a twin bed and a walk-in closet.

Although this rental is not located beachfront, it is only a 200-yard walk and your toes will be in the sand. Amelia Island features a wide array of tourist attractions such as uncrowded beaches, historic buildings, fine restaurants, boutiques, galleries, and many diverse recreational activities such as top-rated golf courses, tennis, beachcombing, sailing, jet-skiing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, miniature golf, volleyball, horseback riding, surfing, biking, and more. History buffs will appreciate Fort Clinch and our Historic Downtown area.

Fresh linens, towels and a starter kit of disposables are provided (travel-size shampoo/conditioner and body wash along with a limited number of laundry pods, dish pods, coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and one sponge.)

There is one designated parking spot along with Visitor parking.

Home away from home

Perfect for couples or families. Spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Close to the beach and pool access, if desired. Quiet neighborhood. Didn't want to leave and will plan to return. Loved Amelia Island.

Great location

Nice condo just a short walk from the beach. Condo had lots of little extras that were a nice touch. Balcony faces a parking lot but still a nice place to sit and read or relax.

Perfect spot for the Amelia Island Concours. Easy access to the shows and the rest of the island. Very close to the beach as well. Extremely high priced but almost normal for that weekend. Worked for us.

This condo was located 2 minutes from the beach and was stocked with everything we needed (except perhaps a rain umbrella which we didn’t expect to need). Amelia Island is a wonderful place to visit and the town was incredibly charming.

Christmas Getaway

My family wanted a place close to the beach and family friendly. The Mermaids Den was a perfect spot. It was either a quick walk or drive to the beach. The managers were very efficient and quick to respond to messages.

Great unit in great location!

Very nice property. We like the living space separate from the bedrooms vis a the hallway. Easy walk to beach. Great parking, even for and extra car if needed. Would definitely book again!

Great getaway

We were very happy to find a clean condo. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach. The local restaurants were close by. We enjoyed the bike trails. Our favorite was Fort Clinch. So much to do and super location, close to everything. We would stay again.

Our group have stayed at this complex on several occasions for the Georgia/florida football game weekend. This was our first visit to the Mermaid Den. The property was clean and comfortable, however could use some updates. The complex that the Mermaid Den is located is run by an HOA, and the HOA Needs to clean up exterior around the entryways spiderweb/cobwebs all around stairs and ceilings and doors.

Spring break get away

We enjoyed our stay. There were a few little things with lightbulbs out, TV remote issues, etc. Overall a very good experience though. No information for check in on booking or email but property manager responded immediately and was very kind and helpful.

Nice vacation

We enjoyed our stay. We had a minor issue with the televisions, but the property manager responded immediately and was able to fix the situation very quickly. We would stay at this property again. The only recommendation we would make is the vacuum that was provided was broken, it wasn’t a big deal because it wasn’t even advertised in the listing, but coming from the beach every day it would’ve been easier to keep up on the cleanliness throughout our stay if we had a working vacuum. Overall though nice property, exactly as listed, pleasant experience with property management and wonderful location.

Great spot for a family beach vacation

Our family of five really enjoyed our stay here! We initially didn’t rent a car and quickly realized we’d need one to get to downtown (so cute) and other spots on the island. The lack of walkability was more than made up for by the beach access. The rental is a short walk from the most beautiful uncrowded beach. Since there was no parking for the beach access closest to this rental, only folks that live in the area were on the beach. It made for a private beach feel that we loved! The rental was clean and spacious, and had everything we needed!

Great location. A short walk to the beach which is exactly what we wanted.the condo is older with some good updates. The king sized bed in the master had a weird crinkly mattress that was noisy to turn over in bed or getting in and out of bed. We could hear the people in the next condo walking but it was mostly a quiet place.TVs in all the rooms. Wi fi a bit slow. Overall clean and enjoyable.

There was a woman walking around harassing the guest for simple things such as shoes being left by the door. Wet, sandy shoes that she said could cause a $1000 fine! We sat our trash out while cleaning and it was storming. It wasn’t out there 5 minutes and she was knocking on the door telling us we had to take it immediately. This was our third year there and never experienced this before. I feel like she was watching g our every move! Including taking pics of cars.

Nice condo on Amelia

Very clean condo on Amelia island. Plenty of pans and utensils to cook with. Three bedrooms was nice. Would have been nice to have a full bed instead of a twin in one room but otherwise great for our needs. Facility is well maintained. Only problem we had was door code was not correct but the manager quickly came and gave us a new code. Overall great stay.

Nice quiet location just a short walk to the beach

We had a great time. The location was nice and the walk to the beach was very short. The beach was not crowded nor the pool. We will be back!
