It is a charming, rustic hotel with the friendliest people. Maria checked me in and went above and beyond to help make my stay memorable and comfortable. The location is perfect and close to all the attractions. Can’t believe how much history surrounds this place! It is tucked away in a quiet area and only a few steps away from a lot of great dining options that run late into the night.

This hotel is good value. Any of the irritations were minor for me and since it was such a good price and the owner/staff are so polite it all balances out fine. It's good that there isn't breakfast - I always wanted to eat out and I wouldn't want to have to pay for something i wasn't using. The building and furniture are old, this is its charm. If you're a fussy person go somewhere else. And you will be woken by the muezzin in the mosque 50m away (6.30am when I was there). Overall I liked it.

Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful interior design. I loved how they mixed traditional decorative items throughout the hotel. The beds were super comfy, and gave me the perfect rest after a long and exhausting day. I can’t say enough about Ayhan. He is just amazing, extremely friendly and flexible. He made my stay in Istanbul very memorable. Thank you!

When we got to the hotel, no one answered the door. Telephone number that was on the website and on the door did not even have ringing tone. So we had to find ourself a new place to stay going door to door with unexpected extra cost to us. Very stressful experience and bitter start to our vacation.

Konaklamadan çok memnun kaldık. Sadece yatağın altında rahat edebilmemiz konulmuş muhtemelen sungerimsi bir yapı vardi onun goruntusu rahatsiz etti ve surekli carsafi duzelttik. İki yatak birleştirilmiş arada ayrılıyordu birazda bu rahatsiz etti. ama genel olarak temizdi ve hosgöruyle karsilandik.

Un hôtel très moyen mais bien situé.

L'emplacement est intéressant à Sultamahmed. Mais l'OBA est plus une chambre d'hôte qu'un hôtel, les services sont limités. Le ménage n'a pas été fait tous les jours et l'entretien laisse à désirer, avec notamment des fuites d'eau dans la salle de bain depuis pas mal de temps. La literie est déplorable, les lits doubles ne sont que des simples jumelés et l'isolation phonique est très mauvaise.

Ich habe ein Hautausschlag bekommen, da die Matratzen sehr alt sind und wohl nie gewechselt wurden. Auch das Bad ist sehr klein und eklig. Es ist auch sehr hellhörig, da man die oben dran sehr gut hört. Und es ist def. kein Hotel, sondern ein Appartment. Never ever...

A small and comfy family-style hotel in the old part of Istanbul, very close to many sightseeings like Hagia Sophia and Topkapi. A bit difficult to get a taxi there so it's recommended to walk more.
