Absolutely beautiful hotel with an amazing restaurant. Conveniently located. Loved it
Only negative was no lift. However, staff were happy to carry my luggage up the stairs
We loved our stay here when we were travelling through Istanbul for our honeymoon. The rooms are beautiful and quite romantic. The staff were helpful during our stay and helped us organize transportation back to the airport. Can’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic! Excellent location. Beautiful rooms. Top class restaurant Olden.
Excellent location. Very friendly and helpful staff. The boys in the reception were brilliant!! Made us really welcome and happy. The decorations of the restaurant were obviously exceptional. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Unfortunately its more an Influencer Restaurant Photo spot than a nice hotel. You feel like they care more about the people taking pictures and only staying for food than actually for hotel guest. The house itself is very well maintained and the old charme was also the reason why we booked it and its even more beautiful in real life. BUT the airconditioning is only a heater and there is no real way to cool the room down or ventilate it. Room only has very limited light sources, somtimes its very hard to see anything. The room is also very humid itself. Reception not very proactive and quite bored. Food in the restaurant was great, location of the hotel also.
This property is a recently renovated building from the old days. The place is beautiful. The downside is that there is no elevator. The front desk staff is helpful to bring my luggages to my room. I was initially given a room without safebox, the internet inside the room was weak, and the TV doesn't have any signals. I don't know if this is because it's recently renovated or oversight on their part, but I was upgraded to a family room after I brought these issues. The new room is much better, with a working safebox, good internet and TV. The location of this boutique hotel is very nice. I strongly recommend it.
From start to finish we were delighted with our stay at Han 1772. From walking into the historic building and seeing a very cool bar, being greeted by very friendly staff and who were on hand to provide advice and tips at any point. Our room had so much character, we loved it, and we had a wonderful meal and cocktails at the restaurant on our last night. Highly recommended and a benchmark for our future trips.
Everything with the room was great! There is a super beautiful restaurant in the courtyard of the premise and with all the rooms at low level, noise may be a problem for light sleepers especially on Friday and Saturday evenings! TIP: close the window near the corridor (you may missed it because it is covered with a curtain!). If not, otherwise, all is good! Good character, service, cleanliness and proximity to food and attractions!
Beautiful building with unique interior. Lovely bar downstairs with great wine and cocktails. Reservation needed but was easy enough to complete online. Staff were really helpful and resolved any issues quickly. Coffee shop next door is part of the hotel and they offer a great selection. Location is perfect walking distance from Galata bridge and also Sultanahmet district. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, shops and vendors nearby.
A spectacular boutique hotel perfectly located in Istanbul and renovated with great taste. An experience not to be missed. Note that there are no elevators so it is not for people who need one.
Loved the location. We were very fortunate to have windows onto the street, some rooms just had internal windows with no fresh air. The room was very comfortable, great bed, shower, robes and slippers. We didn’t hear any noise from the restaurant at night, the only annoying aspect of the restaurant was the constant stream of people taking selfies on the balcony! The room could have done with more hangers and some hooks on the walls!
This hotel was one of the most incredible places that I visited while traveling worldwide. I enjoy historical buildings, and this was certainly one. The room was great! Looking up at the high brick ceiling at night was quite relaxing. The staff members were extremely helpful and provided 5-star customer service. I was frequently asked if I needed anything and was helped with my luggage. My rooms were clean, with ambient lighting, and looked exactly like the photo, but better. The location was really convenient, but more significantly, it was close to all of my historical tours, including The Blue Mosque, officially known as the Sultan Ahmed Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, and the Istanbul Archaeological Museum. There were several stores and restaurants around, and the airport was only 45 minutes away.
Rooms very nice and clean.
At the breakfast we had to pay extra for a glass of juice. 135 TL per glass ! How is this possible on a 200 Euro stay per night. Also breakfast was very basic. You have to pay extra if you want something else…
In the evening a lot of sound of the Bar in the Patio. Not a 4 star experience !
It seems that the Patio Bar/breakfast are different company’s….
Although this hotel has a lot of history I cannot recommend it. The fact that the restaurant/bar is in the middle of the building means there is very loud music until 12:30 am every day. We had to buy ear plugs to get some sleep, ruined our days as we were very tired. The breakfast was ok, but absolutely ridiculous that you had to pay for water if you did not want black coffee or tea. The deluxe rooms very a great size, but the standard rooms do not have windows and the aircon keeps turning off – set to 25 degrees.
Also, the is no elevator and only winding stairs which made it very difficult for my elderly father to get up and down.
Staff at the check-in desk were very nice, the restaurant staff was less service minded.
beautiful renovated hotel in great location. Staff very helpful.

The hotel does NOT fit for the purpose due to its terrible design - being right above a bar and restaurant. Unless you wouldn’t mind to stay up till midnight with loud music in the bar; and wake up early next morning to the sound of staff setting up breakfast tables. Also, we experienced having others guests sitting in the corridor chatting, laughing and smoking till midnight. The hotel claimed itself as 5-star, and that’s a joke!
