This place is perfectly located in the Galata neighborhood and just a short walk to the Galata Tower. The staff were impeccable and the daily breakfast was delicious in the rooftop restaurant. I couldn't sleep early one morning and went to the lobby and the desk clerk made me an espresso at no charge. The furnishings are exactly what I thought I would find in Turkey. Definitely would stay again.

It is such a beautiful hotel like the traditional ottoman era, very close to metro station and less than a minute walk to Galata. I Definitely enjoyed the vibe, view and will go there again soon maybe. There are a few points that I give them 4 out of 5. The elevator stock on my first day stay between the floors and the price is really do not match the level of breakfast and my expectations as it is advertised on Expedia.

Great location and close to metro and bus stations. Staff were very friendly. The hotel is a little dated and could benefit with a face lift but room was quiet, even when facing city side. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast location was quite ideal… top floor with a great view of city, Galata Tower and Bosphorus and Golden Horn, without needing to go up to The Galata Tower. Great value.

Perfect place to stay. Nice and quiet. Very clean rooms. Very helpful stuff. Although it is decorated slightly over the top, it still looks good and intentional. Good full breakfast as well. The only down side is the distance from the airport. But most of the good hotels are like that. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great hotel located close to the Galata Tower, about a 30-40 minutes walk from the historical sites in the old town. The hotel was very comfortable and the views from our room and from the breakfast room were incredible. Good selection of hot and cold foods for breakfast. Lovely staff who helped us with all of our requests.

We had a pleasant stay at Daru Sultan Galata. The location is excellent — very central and convenient, with many restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby. It was easy to get around from the hotel, and we barely needed to use taxis. The street outside can be busy and noisy because of the traffic near Galata Tower, but the hotel has very good soundproof windows. Once the windows were closed, the room was quiet enough to sleep comfortably. The room itself was small, but very atmospheric and stylish, with a historic Istanbul vibe. It felt unique and charming rather than like a standard hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and most requests were handled quickly. Breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay. The selection was good, and the breakfast area had a beautiful view. A couple of things could be improved. At times, Russian-language music was played in the hotel, which we personally did not enjoy during our stay in Turkey. Also, on our last night, the bedding had been sprayed with a very strong fragrance or air freshener. The smell was too intense and made the room uncomfortable for a while. Overall, Daru Sultan Galata is a beautiful, atmospheric hotel with an excellent location

IF you have ordered a TWIN room, confirm by message. Such confirmation proved ineffective and 3 doubles were allocated, but desk manager managed to recover the situation, eventually. Helpful hotel staff and excellent value accommodation when booked well in advance.
