Located in the heart of the exclusive Wild Dunes Resort on popular Isle of Palms, this elegant Charleston style vacation home is situated on the 13th green of the prestigious Harbor Golf Course and merely feet away from the Wild Dunes Marina with easy access to the intercoastal waterway. Take a short one-block stroll to the neighborhood pool or hop on the golf cart for a two-minute ride to the beach. The Marina has jet skis, kayak, paddle board and boat rentals and a convenient market where you can pick up essentials, souvenirs, beer, wine or fishing gear.
IOP is a unique barrier island with a very relaxed beach town vibe yet it's a very short distance to upscale shopping and restaurants in Mount Pleasant (10 minutes away) and all the charm, history, shopping and restaurants that Charleston has to offer (25 minutes away). Bring your sunscreen and beach, bring your boat and boat, bring your clubs and golf, bring your imagination and shop and bring your appetite and dine. One thing is for sure - leave your worries behind.
The house has plenty of room for your entire family to spread out or gather together. Enter through the front door or the garage to a large open- concept kitchen, dining and living space. The chef's kitchen is fully stocked with quality knives, utensils, pots and pans and bakeware. The fresh remodel included new cabinet fronts, stunning blue-wave design quartz counter tops and all new stainless steel appliances. The long counter seats five comfortably, with additional seating at the dining table for eight. The living room furniture is all brand new and lays out comfortably in front of a 65" smart TV.
This large space opens out to a beautiful screened in porch with an amazing180 degrees of golf course view. It has a comfortable cushioned couch and lounger to sit and sip coffee, read, watch the golfers or enjoy an after-dinner drink.. The other side is set up with a comfortable bar height table for four. This main level has one large bedroom with a beautiful glass walk-in shower bathroom and a workspace with a wireless printer/scanner.
The upstairs has three large bedrooms with all brand new beds, bedding and furnishings, two renovated bathrooms and a large sun deck to hang out and sun tan. The master suit has a king bed and pull-out twin sleeper oversize chair. The amazing bath has a glass walk in shower and separate vanities with new quartz tops and new fixtures. This room has a 55" smart TV and opens to the sun deck.
The other two large rooms are Jack and Jill and both have a 42" smart TVs. One room is set up with bunkbeds configured as two twins and one full. The other large room has a four-post queen bed and a private balcony. The bath is a newly remodeled dual sink vanity with quartz counter top and new fixtures with tub and glass shower doors.
In addition to the beautiful living space, screened porch and sun decks there is an amazing patio area on the ground level which has very comfortable sofa furniture, bar, 55" smart TV, Traeger grill and gas fire pit with four Adirondack chairs for day time or night time enjoyment. In the garage is a 4-seater golf cart (available for licensed drivers only), 5 beach bikes, beach gear (chairs and umbrellas) 2 paddle boards, ping pong table and games for all ages.

Everything you could need!

We have been coming to IOP for several years and staying in Wild Dunes. Family of 4 agrees this is our favorite stay thus far. The house was extremely well appointed with everything you could need. Very spacious and super clean!! The view from the screened in balcony overlooking the golf course just feels like… vacation. Would highly recommend!!

Great location

Easy access to Wild Dunes shops and restaurants. Very nice house with lots of bikes/chairs/etc that you would need for activities around the island. Would rent again for sure.

Home away from home

This home was an amazing place for our family for the week. We had plenty of space to spread out and plenty to keep us busy! Between the golf cart, easy beach access, the marina, paddle boarding, ping pong, and countless games to amuse us before going to bed, it was a memorable experience. Carol was also great and easy to reach out to when we had questions about activities we could do. It really felt like a home away home.

We had an amazing time and Carol was great to work with. This house has everything you need and more. We were traveling with an infant and there even was a pack and play/ full size high chair in the home. Made traveling with a baby a breeze! We can’t wait to come back.

Great Spot

We loved everything about it, except that the front stairs were roped off and inaccessible the entire time we were there! Super inconvenient for 11 people. Other than that, it was great.

Exceeded ALL Expectations!

This house truly MADE our vacation! From the location, to the amenities, to how beautiful and clean it is. I honestly couldn't have asked for more. Our family of 4 stayed with another family of 4, and everyone had plenty of room. The bedrooms and bathrooms were immaculate, and the kitchen was spacious and stocked with everything you could need. Not only did the owner, Carol, think of EVERYTHING to make our stay wonderful prior to us arriving, but she also was able to track down and mail a pair of airpods that our Australian friends left behind. On the last night of our stay, my wife made me promise her that we would come back and stay at least once a year.

All the Little Things

What an amazing property and what an awesome experience! The house has a very appealing layout and open main level floor plan. The location was super convenient and the neighbors were extremely friendly and helpful. The bicycles and golf cart that were provided were life savers! But, the absolute best part was realizing all of the little things that were there for us… the things the property owners thought of and had on site to make the trip easy peasy. For example, there were Tupperware containers, an assortment of coffees, family board games, extra beach towels, screens on ALL of the porch doors, and they even provided a sewing kit! There were more things, but I have a limited amount of characters to type here lol. The owner was very timely with communication and I 100% recommend booking this property. :)

Great House, Great Location

Carol’s home is lovely and very well equipped. It even includes little things many rentals do not traditionally have such as dishwasher and laundry detergent, coffee, spices, plastic wrap and bags, etc. She also left us very thoughtful welcome basket! Carol is very responsive and makes a special effort to be sure you have everything you need to enjoy your time at Wild Dunes. The VRBO app email was a little glitchy before we arrived, so we texted her and she responded very quickly. Everything you need for the beach (chairs, cooler, umbrella, towels, etc.) is provided. We made great use of the bikes and golf cart to get back and forth to the beach. The 46th Street beach access always had ample parking and the beach wasn’t ever crowded. Much different than the Grand Pavilion beach area where we’ve often rented on the ocean and/or near the boardwalk. Our grandson really enjoyed the pool which is a short walk from the house and the ping pong table! Lots of space for everyone to be together but also plenty of space to spread out. Three of the adults with us worked remotely for part of the week and no one ever had trouble finding a private place for a call or internet access issues. We’ve been to Wild Dunes more than a dozen times over the last 20 years and have stayed in many types of properties. We would rent this property again, without hesitation!

Girls Weekend Success

We had a girls weekend and the house was absolutely perfect. Very short biking distance to the beach. Had a fantastic dinner at the obstinate daughter. Highly recommend this place and would love to go back.

Beach Castle

Very nicely decorated. Spacious room design. There were 11 of us and it never felt crowded. Kitchen was well equipped. Carol was friendly, attentive and accommodated our special requests. Leaving Charleston goodies like benne wafers, key lime cookies and local peanuts was a welcoming touch. It was great having access to a golf cart, bikes, beach towels and pool toys.

Family Vacation

This property completely exceeded our expectations! There wasn't anything left to wish for. The house was exceptionally clean and fully equipped with everything you could possibly need on vacation: coolers, bikes, games, etc. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare all our family meals. And, the outdoor living spaces were so inviting that you never wanted to go inside.

Highly Recommend This House

I stay in lots of VRBO homes as well as I have a rental of my own. This how and the homeowner was amazing. The house is extremely well stocked and has an easy layout, love the screened-in porch and the lower patio with TV and firepit. The neighborhood is pretty and a great way to get in easy walks and bike rides. Highly recommend renting this house!

It was the perfect house for 3 generations of family! We loved the large living room and kitchen table, porches, comfortable beds, golf cart, nice finishes and decor, and all the kitchen and random items you might need. The beach is a quick golf cart ride away. Our group had a wonderful time and Carol was very friendly, helpful and easy to get in touch with. Definitely recommend!!

Great getaway!

We loved our stay at Yacht Harbor. Kitchen fully stocked with all cookware needed, very comfortable house and nicely furnished. All the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the Wild Dunes Resort. Close walking to the beach for morning exercise.

Perfect location for family vacation

This was our first time to take our extended family (five adults, four teenage grandchildren) on vacation, and we could not have asked for a more ideal location. The Isle of Palms is a lovely resort area, and the golf course view from the back of the house is spectacular. The house is beautifully decorated and stocked with every amenity one could imagine. A small community pool is within walking distance, and the times we used it we were basically the only people there--it was like our own private pool! Although the trip to the beach is walkable, with all of the beach paraphernalia needed to enjoy several hours there, driving down in a car or the golf cart is a necessity. But the beach itself is worth it! (And the golf cart was so much fun!). We very much enjoyed a couple of the numerous restaurants nearby, but we also took advantage of the well-stocked kitchen and grill to enjoy some "eat-in" nights, as well. Carol was a delight to work with! As other reviewers have noted, she was gracious and responsive from the time we booked the rental and throughout our stay. (She actually stopped by to deliver a small item, and she couldn't have been nicer.) I just can't say enough about our stay on Yacht Harbor Court!
