Coastal Cottage, family friendly, Screened porch, Ping-Pong - 29 Twin Oaks

29 Twin Oaks is a completely renovated cottage to match Charleston's Coastal Design. Family friendly rental located in the heart of Wild Dunes Resort. This 3 bedroom cottage is equipped to sleep 6 guests comfortably, with space for two additional guests on a pull out sofa. The kitchen includes granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and has been fully stocked. Rich heart of pine floors flow throughout the cottage.

Primary Bedroom is spacious with large king bed. Ensuite bathroom has walk in shower and new tile flooring. The guest room has a queen sized bed. The kids room is set up with twin beds. The guest room and kids room share a newly renovated tiled bath. All new bedding has been added throughout the cottage.

The porch has been enclosed and now the home features a great second living area with large screened TV. The new screen porch is located off the sun room and makes a perfect setting for those lazy summer nights with the family. Ping Pong table and BBQ grill added in the garage space. Enjoy the quiet and secluded area of Twin Oaks neighborhood.

Please note Wild Dunes Resort no longer allows resort amenity access. This does not include complex amenities. You can still play Golf, use all bike paths, and enter all restaurants or shops in Wild Dunes. There is a recreational center located on 28th Avenue on Isle of Palms with basketball courts, soccer fields, tennis, and pickleball. *If pool access is necessary there are two recreational pools in Mount Pleasant (15 min drive) that you can pay to access*

We loved this place!

This home is centrally located - a short walk to tennis, bike rentals and the sweet grass hotel. We've stayed in several homes in this neighborhood and this one is by far the best. The home is well appointed and clean with all the kitchen items you'll need. The grill and ping pong table and finished porch were big bonuses. And the management company was quick to respond for a couple of minor issues that we had. Highly recommended.

Excellent All Around

This property is managed professionally, and that was apparent and appreciated. Excellent communication about check in and checkout protocol. When we had confusion about the outdoor shower (which was frankly our fault not theirs) they called right away and told us what to do. The furnishings are modern, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen is very well-appointed. The property is a 10 minute walk from the ocean. Know that if you rent through vrbo you will be unable to access the resort amenities (tennis courts, pool, etc.) - which the property management did communicate up-front, we just weren't paying attention. This is not a big deal - there are public tennis courts not far away which we used, and who needs a pool with the ocean nearby? We had a fantastic time at this property, and particularly enjoyed the ping pong table!

Beautiful property, but…

First, the positives: The property was absolutely wonderful and well kept. In fact, the house exceeded our expectations! The property is located in a beautiful community, and it is a very quick and pleasant walk to the beach and also to nearby restaurants and shops. The check-in process was great, and the property management company left very nice items for us ($100 gift card, sunscreen, etc). Again, this exceeded our expectations! Unfortunately, however, we did see a large cockroach scamper across the floor one evening. Fortunately, we were able to catch it and release it outside. When we came back inside, we asked our son where the cockroach came from and he pointed to an area between the kitchen and master bedroom. We looked on the floor where he pointed and saw another smaller cockroach dead under a small table. I contacted the property management company via text regarding the cockroaches (with a picture of the dead cockroach), and they replied stating they would send the pest control company out the next day (the day of our departure). I don’t know what I expected to hear from the property management company, but I was surprised at how cavalier their response seemed to be. If not for the cockroaches, I would definitely give this property a 5-star review.

4th of July Family Vacation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the home on Twin Oaks. The home was clean, well appointed and in a great location near the pools, beach and other resort amenities. I’d highly recommend it for anyone looking to vacation on Isle of Palms.
