Islay House

"The property definitely needs some updating, it is a little bit on the rundown side, but it has absolutely stunning and well maintained grounds, which I highly recommend taking the time to explore. The House is unique and has a lot of potential. Staff was quite helpful and our room was very clean. It’s definitely off the beaten path so expect to walk a little bit for a bus stop or pre-reschedule a taxi. Do not rely on Uber on the island. So make sure to plan ahead and decide where you want to have meals. Breakfast at the property is good, but there is not an on-site restaurant in no room service. You need to make sure that you are selecting a restaurant in town and booking a table."

"We had a great stay here. Both owners were lovely and helpful, and checked often to be sure everything was OK. There was a very well stocked snack area, and breakfast was delicious. We were traveling as a family of 3 and did 2 rooms, and it worked great."

"Lovely cottage with home comforts. Disappointed that it wasn’t possible to walk our dog around the loch opposite the cottage and that ‘safe’ dog walks had to be travelled to by car. Well equipped cottage with comfy beds, had a great stay."

Beautiful 10 person modern bungalow in Bruichladdich with stunning views

"The bungalow was perfect for our family's stay in Bruichladdich. It was clean and modern and the views across the bay are beautiful. The mini market just a couple of doors down is perfect for coffee and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Claire was a great host, very responsive to questions and check-in and check-out were very easy."

"Very pleasant hotel to stay in with friendly interested staff who do their very best to make your stay enjoyable. From arranging taxis, giving their very noted malt whisky expertise to meals and recommendations. Love Port Charlotte, would definitely go again."
