The Area

Bruichladdich village is located centrally on the island. The village itself includes a local convenience store / coffee shop as well as the famous Bruichladdich distillery and distillery shop. The village of Port Charlotte is a 5 minute drive away, there is also a newly constructed walkway that straddles the coast and takes around 30 minutes to walk or 10 minutes to cycle. There you can find The Port Charlotte Hotel with restaurant/bar, the Lochindaal hotel/bar and the community campsite with restaurant. The main town of Bowmore is directly across the loch and can be reached by car in around 20 minutes. Both ferry terminals and the airport can be reached within 30 minutes.
