"Nice motel. Be warned, there is no check in desk, it is unstaffed setup using computer. I had issue of not getting check in text message, so was unsure how things would work, bit called support number and they quickly assisted me in getting into the room. Nice size room, easy parking. Not much close by for food or shopping, do need to drive for those."

"This property was perfect for our family vacation. The lake views and quiet bay were perfect. The outdoor spaces were very unique - offering a great beach and rocky areas for quiet reading. The communication with the property owner was excellent - they were very responsive. We will definitely be back to this rental!"

"Cute cottage with a homey feel. Beach access to Lake Rainey is a short walk from the cottage. Host was easy to communicate with. Grocery store was 12 miles away in International Falls. Home has a/c which was a Godsend when the temps reached mid-90’s in July."

"We loved staying at Black Bay Lodge. The kitchen was well appointed, the patio was a lovely place to play cards after a day of touring, and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect for taking boat tours at Voyageurs National Park, visiting Fort Francis, Canada, and driving to Itaska Stste Park to walk across the headwaters of the Mississippi River. It was a great week!"

"It appears when booking through Expedia that the host has more than one property available. The property we were directed to stay in was not the one we booked, but the one we booked was a few more dollars, had a nicer shower and slightly different seating setup. The unit was nice, very clean, convenient, but I would have booked the cheaper-priced unit if I’d known that’s the one I’d be staying in."
